Kalta's face widened into a grin as he held the potion he had just finished preparing. "Adonis, if you are back to take this throne from me, be certain I won't give it up without a fight. This potion might not be able to stop you completely, but it would inhibit your growing human body." He chuckled darkly. Adonis' rage was over the roof. He could not believe what he was seeing. He refused to believe that what he was seeing was happening. But the smug look on Kalta's face as he drank from the slow beating heart in his hand told him that this was happening. His mother was dead and Kalta had just killed her. With rage and pain so powerful, he expended so much heat that a lot of the Death Agents around him sizzled out to dust. Bethany stared wide-eyed as the boy she had come to love so much and care about was showing a part of him she had never seen before. She had always known there was something odd and weird about him, but she never would have imagined to see him this powerful. As soon as Adonis realized that Kalta's plan had failed, he knew he had to act fast or run the risk of losing his life. He had no idea how that attack on him had gotten destroyed, but this was the wrong time to try and figure it out. Immediately, he gathered his wits formed a ball of his own, and surrounded Kalta with flames. Kalta stared at the flame and tried to quench it with a ball of ice, but was shocked to see that the fire did not budge.Immediately, Tarada and the rest of the Death Agents rushed off to Adonis and made to go to battle with him. Desmond was about to close his eyes as he so much needed sleep when a knock sounded on his door. "Come on now. Who the hell is there?" He cursed as he climbed off his bed and grabbed his shirt from the sofa.The knock came again and he shook his head at the person's impatience. "Chill, all right. Now who is there?" He asked as he neared the door. "It is me, Adonis." Came the reply. Desmond immediately opened his door and heard who it was. Bethany stood in front of Uncle Desmond’s door with a smile on her face. She was meeting Adonis today and she felt a happiness she could not explain. Despite the warning from her parents not to stay out late, she was willing to spend all day with Adonis.“Hey, Bethany. You are here?” Uncle Desmond asked as soon as he opened the door.“Yes, sir. Is Adonis in?” She asked, craning her neck into the house to see if she could catch sight of Adonis.Desmond stared at the girl and a small smile played around the corners of his lips. Adonis stared wide-eyed at the glowing golden orb of fire that had materialized out of Bethany. It was very similar to the golden orb that had destroyed Kalta's deadly blow to him.“What is that?” Adonis asked, surprise evident in him.Bethany stared at him and shrugged, showing her confusion. “To be honest, I don’t know what it is, but it was deadly and powerful the first time it happened. I was so scared to be honest that I hated myself. I guess it was my use of magic that had caused you to use yours. This is why I believe this whole thing is my fault.” She explained.Adonis finally understood why she was insisting this was her fault and honestly, he felt some sort of relief getting the news.
