It was 3 pm when Amaranthe decided they needed to head home. The kids were all tuckered out and stumbling.
As they rounded the corner that led to the estate, Amaranthe leaned out the window so she could allow the security system to scan her thumbprint and retina before the gates swung open, and abruptly closed as soon as they were inside.
She turned to look at Bella, “I told you, dangerous world. Only Dimitri and I can open the gates.” She said with a shrug and saw the horrified look on her sister’s face.
