Chapter 21 –You are quite famous

Well, I never knew, Aunt Melinda had such a side.

The way Victoria and Aunt Melinda were staring at each other, you can practically see the sparks.

Not the nice ones.

If only, my boss was a nice man and kind enough to look at me and check his message box just once, wouldn’t he get space and I, a breakup?

If only but no, I had to break a vase of a man with no kindness and all ruthlessness.

And can somebody just for once tell me why, just why is my boss staring at Aunt Melinda’s son for that long? Do they too have some feud or something too?

And over who, if they do?

With all the sparks flying, me and my dad sat on the corner seats looking highly distressed with the way my mom was staring at them.

She looked excited. Anticipation for a battle was right on her face.

“I told your mom to not look forward to cat fights, but she is looking forward to a dog one.” My dad said but being a decently hen-pecked husband, he still had a ridiculously cute smile on for my mother. I hate being single and not finding a guy like dad for myself but still, this is not the time for this dad.

Can we be real for a sec?

This is going like a W*****d novel on a role to destroy any and every moment that ever existed between the main couple.

And the main couple is not with me at all, but it seems like it’s the dog- I mean the boys.

The way they have been looking at each other is so cringy, because there are smirks, smiles and killing looks but that just adds more to the dog blood.

“What do you will happen now?” my dad said as he kept looking at the two glaring couples of same sexes and not in a relationship at all.

“Seems like you are going to get a groom out of this or a heartbroken daughter.” I said as I looked at the sparks and then, finally settled down lazily with no interest in fighting.

“I suddenly look forward to the heartbroken daughter.” My dad, he just hates anything related to love life for my life, doesn’t he?

“Thanks dad, I love you.” He patted my head at my words and nodded his own.

“I know you do. Oh yeah, let me go to the kitchen to get some desert here. Some sweet might help sweeten their tongues.” He said and got up to go to the kitchen.

I again looked around me and then suddenly, my boss got up from his seat and bam, on his knees.

Kidding.

My boss would never do that.

He got up and moved to sit beside me where my dad was sitting and said, “How are you now?”

Surprisingly, he remembered to ask me that. I nodded at him and said, “Great.”

“I am sorry, I shouldn’t have said that to you. Forgive me, please, Amy?” Okay, he is on the roll again.

Did he read the message and wants me to act like I can’t forgive him to breakup?

I don’t know but my eyes were brightening up really good.

“I cannot even remember what you said anymore.” I said with a frown and a very down look.

He so wants the breakup because his eyes darkened and he looked angry, like real angry.

This kind of acting can get you a lot of points in the movies and here, all you want is breakup, hah!

Ayia, just say it, throw it on my face, I am ready for it!!!

I was waiting for an angry breakup, but he suddenly went down on his knees, and my mom who was enjoying the show of Victoria and Melinda gave a look on this side and smiled widely while Aunt Melinda suddenly stopped, and her eyes widened too.

I somewhere heard Victoria saying ‘that’s my son’ but my whole focus was on the man who was asking for forgiveness on his knees and my dad entered with desert and got a shock from the scene.

“Forgive me, Amy, please?” He said with his eyes suddenly filled with tears that may never fall and I looked at him while wondering, is that what a breakup looks like?

That’s a reconciliation, no?

I was wondering many things when I felt him hug me and say “I’ll take you to a movie, you wanted to go with me, right? Let’s go now.”

My hand was pulled, and we got out the door, into the car, with my dad still holding the deserts and my mom looking honestly happy.

“Use protection, my baby. Actually, don’t if you are ready. I forgot you are quite old to understand everything.” Talk about embarrassing.

“You are quite famous.” Alexander said as he looked at me and smiled.

That smile sent chills down my spine.

“What are you doing?” I said as I leaned in my seat looking at him driving with a smile that was worse than anger.

“Nothing, I was just acting the part of being a perfectly jealous boyfriend.” He said and baby, that flamed my insides.

“Oh yeah, why were you doing that? The word boyfriend doesn’t even suit you, Mr. I-want-space.” I mean, why be so perfect, the breakup could have cleaned half our mess already.

“Really, Amelia, have you ever thought of what would have happened if we had broken up there. That aunt of yours would have chosen her son as your groom and you would have to marry him, no matter what to deal with the story you’d produced!” he looked at me with the very hate-able face.

“No, that wouldn’t have happened and even if it did, I would have been better off without you being there!” I snapped.

“Right, said by the girl who was having a relationship with a guy she didn’t even care about for about four years and damn, she was cheated on.” Ouch!

“Really, somebody’s talking about relationship when he can’t handle his own ex and wants space like a five-year old fucking baby!” how’s that? Hurt much.

“Well, at least, I am smart enough to know when to breakup rather than getting cheated on by my ex!”

“Don’t even go there, Alex.” I said and finally, he kept shut.

But there was something that kept bothering me, why didn’t he breakup when he could and believe me, it wasn’t because I was romanticizing his behavior rather why wouldn’t he do this when he could have had all the space in the world by just breaking up today.
