"Just me," Greyson croaked. "You know it's the smart thing to do. There's no point in slaughtering a whole pack."
"You think I care about how many people I have control over? Do you think I care about that when my mate is lying dead in my arms!" Rogue roared. He threw Greyson to the side, kicking him onto the floor. "You will all die! I will kill you all for what you have done. None of you will live to see next week." Rogue looked down at Stacey and brushed her hair away from his face, smiling down at her. "Everything I will do to this pack will be for you, my love," he whispered. "I promise, I will make them suffer." He then walked towards the woods, not looking back at the pack. "If any of them try to leave, break their legs! I want them alive, for now!" Was the last thing Rogue said to his men before he disappeared. The rest of his men remained, but they retreated into the trees, out of sight, still there, but watching.
The silence that followed next was deafening. No one said a word. They stared amongst each other, all in shock. No one knew what to say. The knowledge that all their deaths were imminent was haunting.
And there was nothing they could do about it.
Indianna was the first to make a noise. She pulled away from Oscar and ran to Greyson, crashing into him. "How could you!" She yelled, hitting his chest with her fists. "How could you do that to me! You don't get to sacrifice yourself, you don't... you can't... You-" Indianna broke off, her yells combining with sobs. She continued to hit him, yelling into his chest, incoherent words and cries.
Greyson didn't speak. He wrapped his arms around Indianna, engulfing her in a hug. Eventually she stopped shouting, she stopped hitting him and she collapsed in his arms, holding onto him for dear life.
"I'm sorry, sugar," he whispered. "I'm so sorry."
"Never do that to me again," Indianna whispered. "You do not get to be the hero. I won't allow it. I want you to be selfish with your life. You need to live, Greyson!"
He could still feel her shaking. The guilt that flooded him was immense, but he didn't regret his decision. If Rogue had killed him, but spared everyone else, it would've been hell for them, but they at least would have been alive.
However, Rogue had just lost his mate, which kills most and turns others insane. And Rogue was already a psychopath to begin with.
He truly had lost his mind now and he was going to come back to kill them.
He wasn't going to let anyone live. He was going to show no mercy.
"Sugar, let me look at you. You're injured-"
"No!" Indianna didn't let Greyson separate them. She clung onto him for dear life, scrunching her eyes shut and wishing that they were in a different situation. "I'm not letting go of you."
"Everyone get inside!" Greyson ordered, looking around as his pack members who were all stood waiting for orders, too shocked to do anything else. "We need to get out of their sight."
As soon as the words left Greyson's lips everyone flooded inside, eager to get out of sight from Rogue's men.
*Basement,* Greyson instructed everyone over mind link. *It's soundproof. They won't be able to hear us.*
"Indie, it would help if you looked up while you go down the stairs," Greyson whispered to Indianna.
"I'm not letting go of you."
"You don't have too, but I don't want you tripping down the stairs."
Indianna untangled her arms from around Greyson but she immediately latched onto his hands, holding them tightly as they descended the stairs that led to the basement where the gym was.
"Now let me look at you," Greyson demanded and gently touched the side of Indianna's head where there had been a laceration, but it was healing quickly. "How does your head feel?"
"A little foggy, but I'm okay,"
"How do they feel?" Greyson looked at Indianna's stomach. "Tai knocked into you when she attacked Stacey which is why you fell to the floor."
"I'm okay. We're okay," Indianna assured him.
"We need Doc to check you out."
"Well, he's not here," Indianna pointed out. Because of dinner with Rogue they had sent all of the pack members away from the pack house, and now they were separated between a barrier of Rogue's men. They were truly trapped.
Greyson gave Indianna and look and kissed her forehead. "Not yet." He then turned to everyone who had now gathered in the gym, watching Indianna and Greyson expectantly.
"So, how does us being in this smelly gym help us?" Kimberly called. "If I'm going to die then-"
"You're not going to die," Kal piped up, his eyes widening in horror. "You're not." He looked at Greyson and worriedly. "She's not, is she? We're not. I really wanna live man, please tell us you've got a plan that's better than you sacrificing yourself and nearly giving Indianna a heart attack in the process?"
"I don't know what's going to happen," Greyson said slowly, addressing the room. "But what I do know, is that we have no choice but to fight. If we do nothing then we are all doing to die, that's a fact."
Brooklyn, who had been out of the room with Harry when Tai had attacked Stacey, turned into Harry's chest, hugging him tightly. He wrapped his arms around her, remaining silent as he comforted her.
"But you said we had no hope," Indianna said quietly. "It's why you offered yourself up-"
"We don't. In this room, right now we have no way of defeating Rogue. But, right now, we have time. We don't know how much time so we need to move quickly. Rogue wants to drag this out and make us suffer, but that was a mistake because he's given us the time to prepare ourselves."
"But we can't get past Rogue's men!" Oscar called.
Greyson raised his eyebrows. "We can't? Are you sure about that?"
Mark, who was standing at the back of the gym with Laura, gasped. "The tunnels," he whispered.
Greyson nodded. "Yes... wait-" His eyes scanned the room, frowning. "Where the fuck is the girl that got us into this shit show? And where the hell is my Beta?"
Indianna forced a smile. "I would never."Greyson chuckled. "Are you not eating any more, sugar?"Indianna stared down at the food on her plate, feeling full. She had taken a lot more food than she could manage to consume. She shook her head.Greyson turned to his sister. "Has she actually eaten a decent breakfast?""Greyson, I've eaten!" Indianna argued.Kirstie rolled her eyes. "Trust your mate, you dick. She ate enough for a whole family.""Great. In that case." Greyson took Indianna's plate from her and sat down between the two girls, tucking into the remains of Indianna's breakfast."We better get organised," Mac said, running his hand along Kirstie's thigh. "We gotta a lot of men to get today.""No rest for the wicked," Kirstie sighed and jumped up from the floor. "Let's go tear down Rogue's empire, lover."Mac chuckled and let Kirstie pull him up from the floor. "Let's do this.""You know," Oscar said, furrowing his eyebrows as he stood up with Kirstie and Max , "you'd think th
DAY ONEIndianna was woken by Kal's snores, they were soft, but she had been struggling to sleep the whole night and now all she could focus on was Kal's heavy breathing. She sighed and turned over, trying to get comfortable which was rather hard with her bump. She was now looking at Greyson as he slept. He seemed so peaceful. His face was so calm and serene, she wished that he didn't have to wake up to the hell they were in.Greyson's eye twitched and Indianna knew that he was no longer asleep. He reached out, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her into his chest, resting his chin on her head and one hand on her stomach. *It's early, sugar, you should be asleep, not perving on me while I sleep.*Indianna chuckled slightly. *Sleep doesn't come easily these days.**Try,* Greyson pleaded. *It's 2am. You need your rest.**So do you.**I'm fine. I'm swapping watch duty with Oscar soon anyway.*The rest of the previous day was spent waiting anxiously for Oscar, Kirstie and Mac to ret
"Please don't call yourself that," Indianna said."It's true. I can't be trusted-""Would a monster feel remorse?" Indianna asked, cutting Tai off. "Do you think Rogue feels remorse over his actions?""That is different-""You are not a monster, Tai," Indianna insisted. "You didn't do what you did on purpose. As you said, you lost control. What happened has happened, it can't be taken back. The only thing we can do now is focus on the present. Tai, will you help us now?"It was a few moments before Tai acknowledged that Indianna had spoken. She pursed her lips and gave one sharp nod. "I need to wash this blood off of me," she said and turned on her heel and disappeared into Indianna's room.Indianna made her way to Greyson's room next. The scent of him surrounded her when she entered and she closed her eyes, caressing her bump. She didn't want to go without him. Indianna swallowed the lump in her throat and changed out of the clothes she had been wearing for dinner. Once she was in sw
"If I'd have known that talking to Brooklyn would change your mind then I would have suggested you do that as soon as you started to disagree with me."Indianna scowled at Greyson who smirked at her as she approached him. "Shut up."Greyson reached out and took Indianna's hand, pulling her towards him. "Thank you," he murmured."I'm still annoyed," Indianna grumbled and looked down at her feet, glaring."Hey." Greyson took Indianna's chin and tilted her head up. "Please don't be. You're keeping yourself and our children safe. That's the most important thing. Don't scowl at me, sugar.""You're important."Greyson smiled and kissed Indianna's forehead affectionately. "God, I love you, woman."Karl suddenly yelled from across the room. "They're here! Fucking hell, you took your time, lads! It's not like we're waiting for a psychopath to come and kill us or anything!""You just can't keep your mouth shut, can you?" Harry groaned, but made his way over to where Kal was now standing, over t

Nothing she could possibly say would help."Your pack killed my mate. SHE'S DEAD BECAUSE OF YOU. OF YOUR PACK! YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE!" His yells echoed in the woods surrounding them. "You..." He whispered. "You are going to pay."Indianna was too stunned to speak. She was vaguely aware of Greyson putting himself between her and Rogue, but that didn't stop Indianna from staring at her brother who looked ferocious. His eyes were dark, teeth bared, face red and he was spitting blood when he spoke. "You, little sister, are going to suffer. Your pathetic mate can't protect you. Your pack. No one. You are no different from our parents. I thought I could change you. Make you into a version of yourself that I could be proud of. Oh, how I was wrong.""J-Jason," Indianna stuttered, her words barely audible. "I didn't want this to happen-""I don't want your fake pity!" He roared and Indianna flinched. "I don't want lies! I want revenge!"*Sugar, you know I will die before I let him get to you.*H
