LOGINMy mouth hung open, and everyone stared at Parker with confusion. My throat felt dry as I gulped.
"What do you mean you want Jasmine?" Alpha Bryan asked warily.
"I want and I will take Jasmine back to my pack with me," Parker replied with his eyes narrowed.
His voice is hard and intimidating.
A frown formed on my face.
He can't do that. I will not go to his party with him and leave my family and friends behind.
Mate or not, I will not go with him.
"No."
My voice came out confident. The words flew out of my mouth without much thought.
Now all eyes were on me. I didn't miss the look of fury in Parker's eyes.
"No?" His voice was deadly as he raised an eyebrow. I glanced up at him before standing up. "That's right, no. I will not go to your party with you. I'm staying here with my family."
I sighed before muttering a 'sorry' to everyone else in the room before exiting the dining room and out of the pack house, ignoring the people calling my name.
Damn, Parker, he can go to hell.
Irene whimpered at my thoughts, but I ignored her.
I turned towards the forest, debating whether I should go for a run or not. Deciding against it because of the dangers of the forest at night, I turn and run to my house. I ignore the fact I'm wearing heels and a dress because I feel great running.
I swung open the front door that I had unlocked using my house key.
It was dark, so I decided to turn some lights on.
Not bothering to change, I plopped down on the couch and checked the time on my phone.
So much for a nice 'dinner'.
Looking back at my phone, I dialed Sarina's phone number. On the second ring, she picked up.
"Jas, what's up?" Sarina's voice sounded at the other end.
Taking a breath, I blurted out,
"Alpha Parker is my mate. Sarina let out a gasp, "He's your mate?"
"Yeah."
She let out a loud squeal that made me pull the phone away from my ear. I heard her start talking again, "Oh my God! You finally found your mate, a sexy mate that is." I could tell she was wiggling her eyebrows.
"Come on, Sarina. You know that I don't want a mate." Mia growled slowly at me, but I ignored her.
Sarina sighed, "Yeah, I know."
"He wants me to go back to his pack with him," I say quietly. The phone was silent for a few seconds before she spoke, "What did you say?"
"I said no. I don't want to go and he can't make me." After those words left my mouth, a thunderous growl erupted behind me. Quickly, I turned around on the couch, and my eyes widened. Alpha Parker was standing there with his fists clenched, and his emerald eyes were a bright yellow color that sent chills of fear throughout my body.
"Shit, I'll call you back," Sarina muttered into the phone before hanging up.
Taking a deep breath, I turned back around before growling back at him, "I'm not going with you."
My voice held bitterness as memories of the past filled my head.
Swiftly, I was pinned against the couch as a loud growl filled the air. I gasped as Alpha Parker hovered above me, pinning my arms over my head.
"Get off of me," I seethed and squirmed under him.
Ignoring me, Alpha Parker brought his lips to my ear, brushing them just barely. "You are going to my pack with me." His voice got lower and more intimidating, "And if you do not cooperate and be a good girl, I will not take part in the deal and say goodbye to that alliance, do you understand?"
My lips stayed sealed, not attempting to even respond or nod.
A snarl ripped from him before he pulled away from my ear and stared me straight in the eye.
"Do you understand?" He raised his voice, and I could tell he was using his Alpha tone.
Gulping, I nodded.
Damn it, I know I can never say no against an Alpha, and this bastard knows it.
Alpha Parker's eyes stay on me for a little while longer. I notice he's still not wearing a shirt. My cheeks heat up as I realize I was looking at his well-defined chest and his tattoos along his torso and on his arms. It wasn't a lot of tattoos, but just a few.
A growl escaped from his chest, and I looked up and gulped when I noticed his eyes were not a dark forest green color.
His eyes weren't focused on my face but on my legs because my dress had been bunched up around my waist. His eyes then moved up to my chest.
He brought his nose to my neck and inhaled deeply.
"Mine," he growled while dragging his nose down my neck. I shivered in delight as my wolf purred. He pulled away and then got off the couch and walked away.
I just sat up on the couch, completely confused but thankful that he left.
Stupid mate bond.
********
I woke up tossing and turning in my bed. The feeling of Alpha Parker's nose grazing my neck was still felt and it didn't help that my wolf was putting inappropriate images in my head.
Sighing, I finally climbed out of my bed and headed out of my room. Deciding to go to the pack house, I exit my house.
The cool fall air brushed past my skin, making me shiver.
I pulled my jacket tighter to my body, covering up my black tank top I didn't bother changing out of.
I walked down the road passing other houses before I reached the pack house, which is at the center of the pack. Opening the door, I entered.
The lights were all off except for the living room. The TV was on while Anthony was sitting on the couch. He glanced over at me and smiled.
"Hey," he grinned while patting the spot next to him. Smiling, I took the spot next to him.
"Hey," I responded.
"Couldn't sleep?" He asks, leaning back on the couch. Shaking my head,
"You?"
"Nope," he replies, popping the 'p'. Turning towards the TV, I noticed he was watching The Big Bang Theory. We both just continued to watch the show, not really talking. After about two episodes, I looked over at Anthony to see that he was knocked out.
Turning back to face the TV, I continue to watch. After a few minutes, I felt something on my lap. I look down to see Anthony's head on my lap while snoring slightly. I suppress a giggle before looking back up at the 1V.
I don't know when, but I felt darkness surrounding me as sleep took over.
Light shone through my eyelids as I slowly became conscious from sleep. I felt arms around my waist, which made my wolf growl.
Squinting as my eyes adjusted to my surroundings, I looked down and noticed arms around my waist as I lay between the person's legs. Turning my head, I see that Anthony's already looking at me with a confused look before smirking.
"Hello, Princess," I rolled my eyes at his greeting, already knowing that he was enjoying this position very much.
A growl came from the entrance of the living room. Both of us turned our heads to see livid parker
"What?"I could hear my mom's voice all the way from my room. I winced slightly."Does that mean I have to go hunt down both of my kids' mates?"Apparently.I remembered dad telling me that mom rejected him. I didn't blame her, from what they both told me, he used to be a 'Class-A Asshole'. He told me the bond was still there because he never accepted the rejection, which kept the bond from completely breaking.I guess it's not just me having mate troubles. I could feel my wolf yearning for my mate and I sometimes felt myself wanting him to.But then I remember who he is and it all goes away.~~I laid on my bed reading and watching TV.A knock on the door brought my attention away from my book."Come in," I called out. Preston opened the door and I waved him over.He closed the door behind himself, before walking over to me and taking a seat on my bed."I'm sorry about your mate," I began, not knowing what to say.He shrugged his shoulders sadly, "I'll get her back. But I don't know
I stood at my locker, putting my textbooks in so I didn't have to carry the damn things around.London stood next to me, chatting about some guy she hung out with over the weekend.I closed my locker and we started walking to AP Calculus together."I walked in on my parents getting it on in the living room," she told me, scrunching up her nose. "I swear I'm never going in there again."I couldn't help but laugh because I could relate so much. My parents were constantly doing stuff everywhere. It's a wonder how Preston and I are their only children. I guess it's a good thing because their bond is still strong. I'm just lucky that the walls in our house were not thin."Anyways, how was Texas? See any hot Alphas?" She asked curiously as we reached the stairs to the second level."Yeah, there definitely were some," I muttered under my breath as we walked up the stairs. When we reached the top, I saw Justin talking to Eric. He waved me over when he saw me and greeted London and I. He pulle
Darkness swallowed me up, blanketing me so I could no longer see light. My wrists felt tied by rope that scraped my skin. I gritted my teeth as I felt the silver burning my skin, weakening me so I couldn't free myself.I stopped struggling when I caught a glimpse of red in the darkness.Glowing red eyes.Scratch that. Flames. Flames that looked like pits of fire straight from hell that could burn you just from a glance.I felt like I was in a trance that almost seemed too impossible to get out of."Now I have you right where I want you," a voice whispered darkly..My eyes snapped open. Sweat dripped from my body, my skin burning as if it was touched by fire.My lungs constricted as if I was being choked. It was almost too painful to breathe."Liana! What's wrong?" Gianna asked, quickly moving to my side. I could barely see her through my blurry eyes. She looked panicked, her eyes wide, as I coughed from trying to breathe. My body was paralyzed and I couldn't speak. The door opened lo
"Are you sure you're okay?" Preston asked for what felt like the billionth time.I glanced at him from the corner of my eye then back at the TV. "Yes, why wouldn't I be?" I asked, pretending to be confused. In full honesty, I wasn't sure. My mind kept wandering back to those eyes. Something about them felt cold and intimidating. I still didn't understand how I didn't see who it was. After Preston and I got back, we decided to watch TV. I was no longer tired. I had changed into a pair of shorts and a baggy T-shirt and was now sprawled out on the couch with my legs propped on his lap.I happily ate some of the mint brownies that Preston took from the dessert table. He grabbed at least eight of them.I was thankful that he actually shared them with me. I would've kept them all to myself...I was getting a little hungry even though I had just eaten. I got my big appetite from my mom.We watched for about another hour before Gianna came back, a grin on her face."What's up with you? I aske
"Preston, we're back!" I called out to my brother as we entered the hotel room.A door opened and he exited from his room. He was shirtless and sweatpants hung loosely from his hips."Put on a shirt, you're not here by yourself you know," I muttered, giving a glance towards Gianna who ogled my brother.I rolled my eyes. Girls were always after him, but he was so closed off that he ignored them.He told me he wanted to save himself for his mate, just like my dad. He should be meeting his mate soon, though.Ignoring what I said, he plopped down on the couch and turned on the TV, "Where did you go?""To get some dresses for tonight," I replied, sitting in the box with my dress in it on a chair."You? A dress?" He raised an eyebrow."Yeah, I know. Weird, right?"I took a seat on the couch and Gianna followed. We spent at least two hours watching TV. It was around six when we finally decided to get ready. We headed to our room. I got to the bathroom while Gianna changed in the bedroom. I c
After a long drive, we finally reached Texas. The sun was bright and the sky was a bright blue. Not a single cloud was in the sky. I had never been this south of the United States before and it was and it was kind of exciting. I was used to living up north where it was a little cooler. We reached a city and I watched as the tall buildings passed us. People walked around on the side walks, wearing summer clothes even though it was fall. Some part of me wished that it was like this where I lived, even though I usually liked the cold weather. The truck stopped in front of a large building that towered over us. We all got out of the car while a couple of men wearing a uniform took our bags. The parking lot was packed and I saw a few people lingering outside of the hotel.Gianna and I followed our parents into the hotel since they knew where to go. We entered through the large glass doors. We were welcomed by a large lobby that looked more expensive than my life.A large lounge was to our
