I sighed as I leaned back on the couch in my room while digging into a tub of Heath ice cream with a gigantic spoon, sulking.

Why?

I was angry with the world. Angry about my past. Angry that I have a mate. More specifically, Alpha Parker as my mate.

Now I know that there is nothing that I can do and that I should just deal with it, but I will not let the same thing happen twice in my life.

A soft knock landed on my door distracting me from watching the show that was currently on, which happened to be The Big Bang Theory. I just happen to like it, ok? I find it extremely hysterical. Obviously Sheldon is the best character.

"Come in." I call out through another mouth full of ice cream.

I turned my attention back to the TV and laughed out as Sheldon said something smart yet stupid at the same time. Sorry, I have no life really.

"You ok?" Zoey's soft voice filled my ears. I turned my attention to her and shrugged, "I'm fine. Why?”

Zoey looked at me skeptically. She was quiet for a moment before replying, "Well, you always eat ice cream in your room when you are upset or angry with the world. You also spend half of the day up here, too." I just stared at her. I didn't really know what to say because she just spoke my whole life in two sentences.

There are only a few things I need to survive:

Nutella

N*****x

dough)

My phone

Ice cream (more specifically Heath or cookie

"I guess I'm not 'ok'." I respond while chuckling a little. Zoey looked at me curiously and waited patiently for me to continue. Sighing deeply I turned my whole body towards her.

"I'm just thinking about my past," I mutter with a small shrug. I fiddled with my fingers and bit my lip. Zoey picked up my hand off my lap and held it. Her eyes had a sad look in them. "You mean what happened with Kyan?" Zoey's voice was soft and almost barely audible. I nodded slightly.

Kyan was my ex-boyfriend from when I was 17 and a senior in high school. The memories will never go away and it is best not to think about them.

"Kyan's a bítch," Zoey commented, her voice bitter and a frown etched across her face. My eyes widened as I stared down at Zoey. Did she just?

Without thinking too much about the fact that my 10 year old sister just called someone a bítch, but it's true. Kyan is a bítch.

"He is," I found myself nodding to Zoey's comment without scolding her. We both fell into a comfortable silence and continued watching.

Damn it, why did I agree to go to the Mate Bond with Anthony? I have a mate now. I scowled at the thought. Maybe I should use that as an excuse.

I decided to actually use that and called Anthony. I waited a few seconds before Anthony answered.

"Hey, Princess. Are you ready for tonight?" Anthony's voice sounded through the speaker.

I bit my lip before replying, "I can't go."

Anthony let out a chuckle, "You can't back out now. Why can't you go?"

"Because I found my mate already." I didn't bother hiding the bitterness in my voice. Anthony let out a sigh. The other line was silent for a moment before he finally spoke, "Don't let Alpha Parker control you and keep you from having fun. Attend the party with me, you'll have fun. I'll make sure you do, Princess."

It was my turn to become silent. All I could hear was his breaths on the other side of the line. I debated whether or not I should go. I guess I could use the fun instead of sitting in my room stuffing myself with Hot Pockets and Pizza Rolls. My mouth watered at the thought of those yummy delicious pieces of heaven.

"Fine, I guess I can go," I say with a deep sigh which earned a fake girlish squeal from Anthony.

"Like okay, Bestie. See ya at 8. Toodles!" Anthony called out through the phone with a stuck up teen girl attitude. I laughed at him as I heard the other line go dead. I placed my phone down on my bed and went to go get ready.

Once I finished getting ready in a pair of black jeans, a black crop top, and a pair of black stilettos. My black straight hair hung down my back. My black hat sat on the top of my head. I pulled on black fingerless gloves over my finger.

My makeup was done nicely and I smiled at myself in the mirror.

I'm such an idiot for agreeing to this. Two parties in one weekend.

I exited my room and made my way down the stairs while pulling on my black leather jacket to finish off my look.

I walked into my kitchen and opened the fridge. My parents were out on a date night while my sisters were at a sleepover. Andrew, however, is in his room doing whatever it is teen boys do these days. I definitely don't need to know what exactly he does in his spare time.

I opened the fridge and pulled out a bottle of water.

"And where do you think you're going?"

I jumped at the sound of a deep voice from behind me. I quickly spun around on my heel to see Parker leaning against the door frame of the kitchen. My eyes widened as I realized he was shirtless with a pair of jeans hanging loosely on his hips showing off the top of his v-line. Mia purred at the sight. I found myself staring at Parker's six-pack right in front of me. A low growl erupted from him causing me to look up. His eyes were dark with lust as he stared intently at me.

I gulped as I stood up straighter. I eyed the tattoos on his arms that covered a part of his stomach. Tattoos of roses and black scratch marks. I furrowed my brows.

"Out." I curtly replied. I opened the bottle and took a big gulp of it. A drop of water from the corner of my mouth rolled down my chin.

Parker's dark eyes watched as I wiped it away.

Parker growled slowly, "Let me try this again, Where are you going?"

I let out a sigh of annoyance as I glared at him. His eyes bored into mine with anger. This guy needs to chill his balls.

"A party," I muttered to myself as I closed my bottle and placed it into my purse. Parker pushed off the frame and crossed his arms while walking towards me. His eyes wandered down to my clothes. His eyes darkened and his jaw clenched.

"Change." He growled while looking at my stomach which is revealed because of my shirt. I narrowed my eyes at him, "Excuse me?"

Parker's jaw clenched, "Go. Change." His voice was emotionless as he looked up and stared at me straight in the eye.

I placed my hands on my hips, "Why would I do that?"

Parker didn't seem to appreciate my attitude towards him as his fists clenched at his sides.

He took menacing steps towards me. I didn't back away, it is best that he knows that he has no control over me.

He stopped until he was in front of me and placed his hands on either side of my body on the counter behind me. He towered over me.

Damn it. Why do I have to be so short?

"No other male should see this much skin," Parker growled slowly as his eyes shifted towards my stomach once again. I crossed my arms over my chest and glared.

"And why do you care?" I snapped back, not liking his temper with me. Parker stepped closer so his chest was touching my crossed arms. He sucked in a deep breath before, "Only I get to see you like that, no other male can or else I will kill them. You are mine, little mate, Whether you like it or not."

I slowly gulped at the intensity of his eyes. My frown deepened and then turned to a scowl.

"I don't have to listen to you."

Parker chuckled darkly before stepping impossibly closer and grabbed my wrists pinning them against my side. "If I were you, I would listen to me. And I can assure you that you don't want to know the consequences."

Mia purred once again and stirred inside of me. I rolled my eyes at her before squirming in Parker's grip. I couldn't help but wonder what he meant by 'consequences'. I couldn't help but wonder what these consequences were. I shivered at the thought. I knew exactly what he meant.

"I'm coming to the party with you," he muttered before backing away and leaving just as quickly as he came. I watched his back muscles flex as he walked away but my eyes widened at the large scar that cut across his back that was visible even though tattoos of scratch marks surrounded it. Two smaller scars were on either side. I was confused as to what the tattoos meant. My brows furrowed when I saw a small crescent shaped moon on the small of his back right above his jeans. Next to it was a word but I couldn't see what it was.

I couldn't help but wonder what those tattoos mean and where the scars came from.

She smiled at me, with a hopeful glint in her eyes.I returned the smile and nodded."Yeah, can I have a Southwest chicken wrap please?"She nodded and walked away. Damien was sitting in the seat next to me, his eyes closed. I didn't know if he was actually asleep. His facial expression was softer and more relaxed but still just as sexy. His soft lips looked inviting, but I looked away before I could get any ideas. Besides, my dad was sitting just a few seats away. He insisted on coming with us and wouldn't take no for an answer.I stared back out the window until the flight attendant came back with my wrap. I thanked her for it before opening the package. I ate the wrap quickly, finishing it in a few minutes. When I was done, I got up to throw it away.Damien insisted that we tak

"I know where she is!" I shouted as I raced down the stairs, not caring if I tripped and fell on my face.Preston came out of the kitchen, his eyes wide with alert. I took note of how pale he looked. He wasn't there when I arrived, so I was caught off guard a little by how sick he looked."Where is she?" My dad demanded as he emerged from his office down the hall."I saw fire and darkness. She was by herself and tied up," I heard my voice crack as I spoke. "She didn't look hurt at all, except for maybe one cut but that was it. The environment of the place seemed extremely unreal, yet real at the same time..."A look of confusion passed over Preston and my dad's face, while a look of recognition passed over Damien's."I know where she is," Damien mumbled grimly."Where?!" We all asked in unison.Damien hesitated before answering us, "The Demon World."I frowned. The Demon World? What the hell was that?As if noticing our confusion, he continued, "The place is known to be a myth. No one

The trees of the familiar territory passed us. I stared out the window, a small smile growing on my face. I missed my pack and I felt excited to be able to see my family again. But that wasn't why I was here. I wanted to find something important to my mom.We successfully made it past the border and were pulling up the driveway of my parents' house. Before I could even make it up the porch, I was engulfed in a tight hug."I missed you so much!" My best friend cried as she didn't let go of me. "We all have. It hasn't been the same without you."I hugged her back before letting go. "I've missed you too."I turned towards the front door and saw my dad stepping out onto the porch. I noticed the dark circles under his eyes and the exhaustion on his face. He looked miserable.I walked up the steps of the porch and pulled him into a hug. He hugged me tightly. I couldn't tell him that it was going to be okay because I wasn't sure. I knew my mom could handle herself, but I didn't know what the

"Do you know what abilities you have?" The goddess asked me.I nodded my head. "I know that I can feel other people's emotions if I make skin to skin contact with them, and I can see visions. I know that I'm stronger and quicker. I also recently found out that I can see someone's past by touching something important to them. Yeah, that's pretty much it.""You can also see their future and where they are located," she added before continuing to speak, "You'll eventually learn new abilities.Like being able to communicate with me, teleport, and manipulate light. However, you won't be able to access these abilities without completing the bond with your mate."I felt my cheeks heat up at the thought of completing the bond with Damien. The Moon Goddess gave me a knowing look."There are some things that require a lot of energy.
