Kael sat in a chair in his room, staring at the date and time on his cell phone, then his gaze shifted out the window—straight toward the moon.

The moon was still shining white and wasn’t quite full yet. But what he had been waiting for was the red full moon—the one from back in 2018, on March 31st, when he had received a summons to Valerius Castle to know the woman connected to his soul.
