Kael sat in a chair in his room, staring at the date and time on his cell phone, then his gaze shifted out the window—straight toward the moon.

The moon was still shining white and wasn’t quite full yet. But what he had been waiting for was the red full moon—the one from back in 2018, on March 31st, when he had received a summons to Valerius Castle to know the woman connected to his soul.

And that was Eira.

But even though he was back in that moment now, there was absolutely no sign of the red

Kael ran out of the café toward Eira’s grave, paying no attention to his surroundings. This time, it wasn’t to visit Eira, but to find the Goddess of Death—Seraphim. There was too much he didn’t understand; it was as if everything had changed, as if Kael were losing his sanity.Everything that was happening was a far cry from what he wanted. He wanted Eira to remain his destined partner, but the past he had revisited time and time had changed her.Unfortunately, it was Lucas who had become Eira’s destined partner.“Goddess Seraphim, come out! Show yourself before me!” he shouted at the cemetery.A thunderous roar echoed from the sky, bringing rain that had started as mere drizzles—now turning into a torrential downpour that drenched the earth and Kael’s increasingly shattered world.“SERAPHIM!” Kael’s emotions reached a fever pitch. He staggered toward Eira’s grave. His legs gave out, and he knelt before Eira’s grave, sobbing uncontrollably. He was truly in a state of confusion he cou

The Alpha Princes stood in a circle around the pond, perfectly aligned in a straight line beneath the red glow of the blood-red full moon. Following the instructions of a trusted fortune-teller, they scattered moonflower petals into the pond just as the castle clock struck—exactly at midnight.“Dip your pinky fingers into the water,” said Snag the Seer. They all did so in unison. It wouldn’t immediately reveal to whom the red thread of their fated mates was connected. The process was quite long and took place in turns. The smile on Kael’s face didn’t fade at all. His patience, usually as thin as tissue paper, now made waiting even three hours seem like nothing to him if the result was the same as before.Eira’s face and name were connected to his red thread.“Helena Wichack.” One of them lifted her finger from the water after seeing the name and face of her destined partner. One by one, they began to step back from the pool, making Kael feel a little panicked because his hadn’t appear

She was standing there with a cup of coffee in her hand.“I can get it myself, Eira. Why did you go to the trouble of bringing it here?” Kael asked—stepping closer and taking the cup of coffee.“Don’t worry. I’m just used to doing it,” Eira replied, turning to leave.Ever since he was discharged from the hospital, Kael had asked Eira to stay at

Eira’s eyes snapped open, and her breathing came in ragged gasps. Her gaze immediately fell upon the dimly lit hospital ceiling. Cold sweat beaded on her forehead.A nightmare. That death—it had been a nightmare.Yet, the pain felt so real that heat radiated through her entire body, as if she had truly just experienced the agony of dying. Her throat burned, and her chest felt crushed under the weight of a massive stone; the sensation was a chaotic mix of searing pain and throbbing ache."Eira? What is it? Are you okay?"Eira started in surprise as Kael’s face suddenly appeared in her field of vision. She quickly wiped away the sweat and sat up, struggling to steady her breathing."I... I'm fine," she replied, turning her face away from him."Is something hurting? You look terribly pale. We could ask the doctor to postpone your discharge." Kael reached out his hand.Eira recoiled, her head hitting the headboard with a thud—a defensive reflex to shield herself from someone she perceived

Eira’s body suddenly convulsed violently as Kael drew closer to her, even brushing against her head. Her mind was in turmoil, convinced that her death was imminent simply because Kael was near her. She was so certain that Kael now held her life in his hands.Whenever Kael wanted Eira to die, she would die. That was the only thought in Eira’s mind at that moment.“Eira, please don’t be like this. I won’t hurt you—I swear,” Kael whispered.Lucas ran out to call a nurse while Kael continued trying to calm Eira as best he could. He tried to convince Eira that he wouldn’t do anything that evil again.“Don’t…” Eira’s eyes widened in fear.He was no longer just a monster. To her, at that moment, Kael was the angel of death, standing so vividly before her, ready to snatch away her life. Flashbacks of Kael’s abuse suddenly spun through her mind like a broken film, eroding her sanity.Lucas rushed in with a doctor and a nurse. Without hesitation, the doctor injected a fluid into the IV through

Kael carried Alice’s body out of the hospital. He pretended to look panicked so no one would suspect him. He ran through the hospital entrance and prepared to call a nurse to treat Alice immediately. However, the moment his feet touched the hospital’s tile floor, the atmosphere suddenly changed. The layout of the hospital—and even the faces of some of the nurses Kael had seen—had changed. And Alice was no longer in his arms.“Huh? What’s going on?” he muttered softly as he realized his arms were still in the position as if he were still carrying Alice, but she wasn’t there. He looked around—spinning in a circle to make sure what he was experiencing this time. Was it related to his return to the past or not?“Excuse me,” Kael called out to someone who had just passed him.“Yes?”“What year is it?” he asked.“Have you lost your memory? It’s 2018.”A smile spread across Kael’s face. He gave a slight nod and immediately ran out of the hospital to find his Eira. But he stopped again when he
