From Alpha Xavier's point of view
Beta Caleb walked in without even waiting for me to answer... I guess this was the sign that I needed. A part of me was beyond grateful for all of the respect he still showed me. Our relationship was more than broken…as much as losing his sister and my mate It brought us apart, but it also brought us closer together. Our shared desire for vengeance was unlike any other and the only driving force we needed to keep us going. After losing my mate, I completely broke down and let go of myself. Some thought that I would either take my own life ,get overwhelmed by grief, or go crazy from the loss of not only a mate but a child too... my son , but I conquered all of that with Caleb's support.I looked down at the photo in his hand in confusion just trying to understand what I was looking at aside just a bunch of numbers."The letter that came with the rogue girl mentioned behind her ear being the first clue... well we checked." I had Miranda take pictures and blow them up. The tattoo is that of coordinates. We punched in the coordinates on the map and the place is not so far from here . It's probably an hour or two on the road by car. We could be there before nightfall if we leave now. It is a witch coven west of our pack border. It just all makes sense for witches to be involved. The memory loss, the DNA not being clear, and her not being found in any database are all things that witches could easily do. They probably even used some spell to get her into our border undetected, but why? "That's a good question... why? That is what I had to find out.I opened the door to make my way out of the room with Caleb hot on my tracks when I froze in mid step."Why the hell is she here? Caleb, weren't you the one saying how much we can't trust her, and yet you bring her to my office... Does that make any sense to you?"Outside my door was Nemesis and my Gamma, Miranda King... yes, King as in my last name.Don't look at me big bro, it was all his idea. I am just following orders. Besides, I don't even know anything. OK, I know everything, but I wasn't there when everything happened, so it is not like you gave me any orders in relation to her."Good point, sis... Caleb, explain yourself,"I folded my arms and waited for his response. We all now turned to look at him as he raised his hands in protest."Hey, do not even blame me for this; there was no other choice." I do not trust her at all, ""She is here, you know,"Nemesis spoke up as she cut Caleb off in the middle of his sentence, to which he simply rolled his eyes, ignored her, and continued."As I was saying..." I do not trust her at all. I feel better having her around us. You were the one who allowed her to stay X, and I am following those orders to the T. We cannot let her roam around the pack and I don't trust just anyone to guard her, so between the three of us, one of us has to be with her at all times. The ones who insisted on her staying should babysit more often. Besides, having her close by means you get to keep her in the pack and I get to snap her neck the moment that she tries something shady... win-win, "I opened my mouth to advise against the sass, but Nemesis beat me to it.Is he already this clueless? Like seriously, there is to be a d**k . I might not know much, but I know manners never kill anyone... Let's just go before he wastes more of our time with his little crush on me , ""Go where?" —"What crush?"Both Caleb and I said it at the same time as we looked from Nemesis to each other and back to Nemesis with flabbergasted looks all over our faces."Ohh, come on, Caleb, don't lie to yourself, we both know you want all of this..." "You're crushing, which is fine; your alpha won't judge,"Nemesis made it a point to jokingly run her hands all over her body in a taunting manner as she mocked Caleb, which just made me focus more on her curves , edges, tattoos, and exposed flesh."I see the way you constantly look at me ." I can literally feel the heat coming off your eyes as you steal glances at me . Hey, I can't get enough... Don't worry, I can't blame you for appreciating a masterpiece, "Mimi was in the corner just blatantly laughing at Caleb trying to explain himself through his anger while I tried to process the whole conversation."Wha... What, ummmm, what are you talking about? You are delusional. I do no such thing. "I will not lie, I was a bit turned on and angry at the same time. Nemesis looked totally badass with some ripped blue jeans, a black crop top and a black cropped jacket to top it all off. Her beautiful long locks of hair were up in a messy bun and her tattoos were just peeking through ,adding to her badass vibe."I was looking at your tattoo rogue . Don't take it personally, but I wouldn't even touch you with a ten-foot pole... You are not my type; don't flatter yourself, ""Liar, liar, pants on fire,"My hands were now balled up in fists as I tried to not let my anger and raw jealousy get the better of me . I couldn't help but wonder if Caleb really had been checking her out and the thought of it alone made me want to bash his head in but I had to let that go and focus on more important things like exactly where Nemesis was planning on going , why and with whom."This is not the time and place to deal with your little crushes, okay." What do you mean, but 'let's go'? Exactly where are you going? To do what and with whom? I did not even allow you to leave the facility. Where are you planning on going now? "The silence in the room was overwhelming as everyone said nothing. Mimi stopped laughing as soon as she saw the series of looks on my face before she pointed the finger at Caleb."Ohhh come on Miranda why are you such a sell out ,I was going to own up to it myself. We are going to the location of the coordinates with the rogue. As I said, we can't leave her here and Miranda is coming with us . "It is safer that we take her with us than leave her in the pack to do only the goddess knows what. Besides, we might need her and if she tries anything, I could probably snap her neck and skin her for the tatoes,""She is still here, Jacka**, and she can hear you ." Her name is Nemesis, use it…rogue ain't it . I would be more careful with the treats if you were We wouldn't want you to end up being the one skinned , "I don't know what angered me more... I was angry about the fact that Caleb was blatantly threatening my mate's life right in front of me , that my mate was threatening my beta, or that they could be crushing on each other, but I was angry either way."Never! She is not going anywhere. You can not trust her in this pack, but do you trust her to leave the pack and willingly come back with us? Did you seriously think this through, or were you too busy checking her out to notice how illogical that is? She is only participating to try to escape, and you are practically handing the keys out to her on a golden platter. We can't take care of business and babysit at the same time. This could all be a trap for goodness sake. Maybe we will find them ready for us, guns blazing, and she will just run off during the commotion, or worse, maybe she is in on it... Like seriously, am I the only one thinking here? "My wolf was just inching to get out, and my anger was already at its height. I knew myself well enough to know that, aside from anger, I was jealous. I am her mate, and I have failed to act as such. She has been in the pack for hours, yet I have not provided her with the basic necessities. A few hours with this idiot and she is already fed up, looking bada** and with enough confidence to be sassy with him, even joke with him even though he is such an a**. Why can't she be like that with me? She does not even address me yet, yet she talks back to him. A growl left my lips as I tried to hold my wolf at bay."Ok... this is getting out of hand real quick. Nemesis is going to be my responsibility, and I will make sure that she doesn't leave my sight. There is no need for all this display of toxic masculinity; we are all on the same side. Cut the poor girl some slack... she woke up naked, with no memories of her life, and tattooed to death in a strange pack of werewolves. She wants to find out what the hell happened to her as much if not more than we do. I am the one that begged Caleb to allow her to come because I know how desperate she is to find out how she got here. Are we good now? Can we just go? "Daylight is being wasted.Mimi did not even give me a chance to answer as she grabbed Nemesis by the hand and dragged her out with her, but not before I saw the pleading look in her eyes. I must be the worst mate ever... not only was I not providing or caring for my mate, but I was also oblivious to how difficult all of this could be for her. Yes, I was going through a lot of internal battles and struggles at the thought of her being my second chance mate, but that did not mean I should ignore her, for she was still my mate.Caleb soon followed after my sister, leaving me with no other choice than to follow. The decision was already made, so there was no need to try to oppose it for much longer. As much as I was the alpha king, my sister was still my little sister... she had had me wrapped around her pinky finger since childhood and that wasn't going to change now or anytime soon.In the days that followed Xavier's revelation, the Royal Pack continued to bask in the joyous aftermath of Dominique and Lisbeth's coming of age ceremony. Bonus Chapter: A New DawnSeveral months had passed since the tumultuous events that had shaken the supernatural realm. The once turbulent atmosphere had given way to a sense of tranquility under the reign of Alpha Xavier and his second chance mate, Nemesis. The birth of their twins, a boy and a girl, brought joy and hope to the pack, strengthening the bond between the couple even further. As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, Xavier stood by the edge of the pack's territory, overlooking the vast expanse of the forest. Nemesis approached him, their newborns cradled in her arms."They are beautiful," Xavier murmured, his stormy eyes reflecting the setting sun's colors."They are," Nemesis agreed, smiling down at the tiny bundles of joy. "Our little miracles, born into a world that was once shrouded in darkness.""We've been through so much, Nemesis," Xavier said, his voice tinged with emotion. "But we made it through together.""And we'll con

Yet, the newfound unity had fortified them, and they felt an unbreakable bond that transcended any hardships they had faced.Nemesis, now more than ever, understood the weight of leadership. The decisions made would shape their pack's destiny. It was a responsibility that weighed heavily on their shoulders. As the days passed, they gathered the pack to discuss their next steps."Our victory against the darkness was hard-earned," Nemesis began, their voice steady but tinged with exhaustion. "But the puppeteer's actions have left scars, both visible and invisible, on each of us. To move forward, we must address these wounds and strengthen the ties that bind us."Sarah nodded in agreement. "Our unity prevailed in the battle, but we need to reinforce it in the quieter moments, when doubts and fears might creep in. We should ho
Nemesis's Point Of View The weight of the impending battle settled upon us as we gathered around a crackling campfire, our faces illuminated by its warm glow. The night air was thick with anticipation, each member of the pack lost in their thoughts, contemplating the trials that awaited us. We knew that the confrontation with Jane, Caleb, and the hidden puppeteer would test our strength, our loyalty, and the very essence of our existence.Silence hung heavy in the air until a voice broke through the quietude. It was Sarah, a seasoned warrior whose battle scars bore witness to her unwavering commitment. "We have faced adversity before," she spoke, her voice filled with a fierce determination. "And every time, we emerged stronger. Our unity has been forged through countless challenges. Now, we stand together once more, ready to face our greatest test."Her words resonated with the pack members, their eyes filled with renewed resolve. Nemesis's Point Of ViewThe winds whispered through the trees, carrying with them the weight of uncertainty and the faint scent of approaching danger. The packlands, once a place of solace and unity, had transformed into a battlefield of mistrust and deception. My heart, bruised by Xavier's rejection, ached with the weight of our shattered bond.Days turned into nights, and nights bled into days as I tirelessly gathered evidence, seeking allies among the pack's disillusioned members. Together, we uncovered a web of deceit that stretched far beyond the borders of our territory, reaching into the highest echelons of werewolf society. In a secluded cave, dimly lit by flickering torches, I huddled with a group of trusted pack members. The atmosphere was tense, filled with the urgency of our mission. Maps and documents lay scattered across the rugged ground as we pieced together the puzzle of Jane and Caleb's treachery."We need solid proof," I said, my voice determined but tinged with fat
