Chapter 12 - Visitation

After studying with Sally and Victoria, I'm exhausted. I kick off my shoes in the hallway. There is a heap of shoes because of my two chaotic sisters, but I won't sort their boots today. Nope.

Instead, I choose to ignore it and take off my clothes. Laughter is coming from inside the living room, which is surprising.

My two sisters are with my mom at an author convention in another town. I'm a bit salty that I have college. My mom and sisters are staying over at some luxurious hotel and everything.

As a struggling romance author, my mom rarely makes much money, but my mom's new friend is paying for everything. I wonder if that friend is a male? She hasn't dated since dad died...
