Chapter 27 - Dragon

I'm about to freak out.

Thail is standing further away from the cave entrance, intensely concentrating in a lotus position. He said he would try to shape-shift into a dragon, and that's scary. Well... if he can pull it off.

I watch as his tail angrily swoosh back and forth. His black-feathered wings spread out, and I admire the color. Black, but shining with different colors, like a raven. Gorgeous.

I keep watching Thail, entranced, but then something happens. Smoke biles around him, heavy and dark and so black I can't see a thing. I try to narrow my eyes, widening them when I see a new creature.

In Thail's place stands a large and dark dragon with golden frills running from the top of its head to the end of its tail. Its eyes glow in gold, and the creature's wings are the same feathery ones from before, but the wingspan is far broader.

Thail is beautiful. I also noticed that he has four legs, not two like a wyvern, and each little toe is equipped with a deadly talon.
