Chapter 19

I flipped open my notebook when my history professor walked in. As usual, he scribbled his name on the board before turning to face us. Mr. Anges slowly looked over his class, eyes widening when he got to our little section in the back. “Mr. Vasiliás? It is nice to see you again. I wasn’t aware that you and your friends were taking this class.”

Axel grunted.

Mr. Anges turned his attention to me, eyes hardening into a glare. “Miss. Roi. Are you sure you want to sit there? That isn’t your regular seat-”

“She’s fine where she is.” Axel interrupted.

“Are sure Mr. Vasiliás-”

“I said-” Lips curling into a sneer as his eyes flashed a dangerous red, “she’s fine where she is. Now teach your fucking lesson before I teach you a lesson.”

Mr. Anges quickly turned to face the board, hand reaching to grab a marker to scribble our lesson on the board. His fingers knocked against the red marker he was reaching for, knocking it to the ground. He scrambled down to the floor, snatching the marker from
