Aurora pov:The rest of my classes went by uneventful. I was too busy waiting for something bad to happen to actually pay attention to any of my professors. I’m pretty sure some of them noticed, but didn’t bother to say anything because of Axel. Speaking of Axel, I shyly glanced over at said……..man. Though I’m scared he was playing around with me, I couldn’t help but to notice how manly he is. His huge body sat relaxed in the small chair. The hoodie he was wearing did no justice hiding his muscular arms and chest. It looks like if he flexed once he would rip his hoodie. My face heated slightly as I continued to stare. I really shouldn’t stare. It wasn’t polite and he might get mad at me.I quickly face forward again, trying to get back into my work. With him still on my mind, I knew it would be pointless for me to try to finish whatever work I had left. I would have to do it later. Plus class was about to end soon. There really wasn’t a point to try and continue it. I slowly began t
Axel POV:“O-Okay. I think my beef stew is r-ready.” I watched as she grabbed two large bowls, scooping white rice into both bowls before pouring in the beef stew. The stew soaked into the white rice as the seasoned meat and vegetables mixed along the rice. It smelled as good as it looked. “I made you a b-bowl too.” She pushed one of the large bowls to me and handed me a spoon. The professor, seeing that Aurora was done with her cooking, began to make her way over to us. “Thank you Aurora.” I didn’t waste any time digging into my mates' food. I meantally groaned at the delicious taste of the meal she prepared. I don’t think I’ve tasted anything better before. The richness of the stew, mixed well with the seasoned beef, vegetables, and buttery rice. I swallowed, “Everything tasted amazing baby. So proud of you.”“It’s n-nothing really.” She waved off my compliment with a shy smile.“It’s not nothing Aurora. You are talented when it comes to culinary arts. One of my most prominent stu
Axel POV:It didn’t take long for Aurora and I to reach the library. I opened the door for her, and closely followed her inside to where she preferred to sit. After a few minutes of walking and occasional turns, I couldn’t help but to happily perk up when she led me towards a tablet that was tucked in the back, away from the annoying people and prying eyes. Though it was a table that could easily hold a few people, it was private enough that I knew we could get away with certain things if Aurora was quiet enough.I quietly scoffed, even if she was loud, who would dare try and stop what we were doing. As if anyone would, or could, do anything about it. “D-Did you want t-to s-sit somewhere e-else?” Aurora ask me, pausing in front of a chair that I assume she usually sits at. “W-We d-don’t-”I pulled out the chair, shushing my mate while gently guiding her to sit down. “Sitting here is more than fine, baby girl. I prefer sitting here rather than being out there. It’s more private and qu
I opened my mouth, brain searching for something to say to that. When my mind continues to produce nothing, still too stunned to wrap my head around to what he said to me, I immediately turn my attention to my snack. I quickly stuffed a few grapes into my mouth, trying to distract myself from his heated gaze. “Such a shy princess,” Axel purred in my ear. “Is my princess thinking about us? Are you thinking about the pleasure I can give. I could have you withering underneath me, screaming my name while I-”“Grilled cheese!” I interrupted, not being able to take anymore teasing. I hope that the mention of food will completely change the topic. Plus, I’ve been craving curly fries and a grilled cheese sandwich for the past hour now. Might as well should bring up what I want now.Eyebrow arching high, his seductive mood quickly disappeared. “Grilled cheese? Do you want a grilled cheese sandwich? Are you hungry?”I nodded, finishing off the last bit of my green fruit. The last time I ate wa
I’m a loner. It’s something that I’ve decided is best for myself until I can start trusting people again. It’s something that I’ve grown used to. Something that I grew to like through my years of not having any close friends or boyfriends. It wasn’t like I didn’t like people. I just didn’t trust them. The only people I can blindly trust without a second thought are my grandparents. They were there for me when I was at my lowest. When I wanted to do everything in my power to end it all, they pushed me to keep fighting. They pushed me to not give up. That if things went tough, to turn to those who love you. They showed me that I wasn’t as worthless as I thought. They showed me that my life isn’t over because of them. I still had a future. I still had promise. “Sure you're a little broken Aurora,” My grandmother would tell me whenever I was in one of my depressing moods, “You just need a little time, sweetheart. No one is expecting you to be perfectly fine so soon after everyth
Maybe it’s because I’m one of the only people in this school who’s from America. I shrugged to myself, knowing that I won’t know the answer unless she tells me. Pushing those thoughts out of my mind, I went back to listening and snacking. “Doesn’t this mean Norah is his mate?” “No! This means anyone here is his mate! Not just Norah! Anyone has a shot now!” “I’ll pay so much money to see Norah not be his mate!” “You and me both! In fact, I think it’ll be me!” “Aw! You two would make such a cute couple!” “I know!” They soon changed the topic to a shopping trip they were going on after school which made me tune them out. I wasn’t a fan of going to the mall to shop. I prefer to stay cooped up in my room and order stuff online. Less people to worry about, and I didn’t have to worry about the judgy looks I would receive when I struggled to find pants that would fit over my thicker lower half. Trying to find a pair of jeans that was short enough for my legs, yet big enough f
Cherie flashed me a smile, “He’ll only be a second with a drink doll! If you need me, I’ll be up at the counter!” I nodded, my small smile still on my face as I handed her my menu. She didn’t leave until Jeneise placed my drink in front of me. Something I was grateful for and she knew it by the smile she sent me. It wasn’t like Jeneise was ever mean to me. He never has been. Something that I’ve been grateful for. It was just that he looked scary. With dark tan skin covering his bulging muscles, blonde hair that was cut in a light hair buzz cut, dark, empty brown eyes, and a towering figure of 6’6, he didn’t look like he belonged to work in a cute little cafe. He looks like he should be throwing cars around and brooding in a dark corner alone. Not making cupcakes and carrying around pink lemonade. Taking a sip of my drink and pulling open my book, I began to read where I left off. I know with the amount of food that I ordered, it might take awhile before everything comes to me.
I had no words to emphasize how attractive he is. I had no words to emphasize how scary he is. He was huge. From where I was sitting, he looked to be over 6’6 and packed with nothing but solid muscle. It was like his muscles had muscles. But as muscular as he is, he had this leanness to him so his body didn’t look too muscular and gross. I eyed his muscular arm as it littered up and down with tattoos. The tattoos made him look even more attractive and even more scary if that was possible, along with his pierced ears. His face was gorgeous. He was obviously from an Asian descendant, but it looks like he was mixed with something else. I had no idea what and I wanted nothing more than to find out. Which is weird. He had this thick mass of black hair, that was currently pulled into a low man bun, that I just wanted to run my hands through. His nose was slightly crooked, a sign that it has been broken before.I wondered how. I couldn’t imagine anyone wanting to pick a fight with him.
