/Lukas POV/
I couldn't think straight. Atleast not till I was fully convinced that Talia was safe. There were unknown dangers lurking in the shadows on the earth. She was innocent and probably had no idea of what's going to come or what was happening to her. Before anything happens I should do something about it.
The three fairies looked elated as I tried to think about something. Why were they so happy about it? I thought while staring at them.
"Why are you so happy about it?"
They shared a look. Were they talking among themselves again? I held my breath until one of them turned towards me.

I refused to cry no matter what. There were so many things going wrong and unpredictable but I still refused to cry. Not because it was a sign of weakness but because I was tired of feeling like I couldn't do anything. If Lukas wanted to be an asshole then so be it. /Lukas POV/I could feel that something was different from the moment I woke up. Sleep was something that never came easy, with demons being powerful at night but I still tried. After a while, it proved to be useless so I took out my favourite Dante Rosetti collection. There was just something about the way he writes that always fascinated me.
