Creation core?
Now that I look closer at the source of mana in the spider nest, I see an almost transparent, spherical substance floating in the middle.
As a result, I decided it might be worthwhile to destroy this spawn point in order to learn more about the creation core.
I grabbed the core, and the rest is history.

This stupid wave! Just how threatening does it need to be? The group emerged from the dungeon with joyous faces. The artefact that they had acquired was of Tier III with capabilities that will prove to be invaluable in combat. They hardly get anything like that from the multiple dungeon runs they have had. The discovery of something of that calibre was very rare.
