Was it Jovita?

Jovita's POV

“I couldn't catch up with him, he took off to the water again”. He must know that I'm way faster than other werewolves, and not ready to risk a chance”, I said to Eric, a bit frustrated. I had lost Uriel yet again.

Eric turned to stare at me.

“You mean he was there the whole time?” He asked.

“Yes”, I replied. This was the third time Eric had asked this question, and at this point, I was on the verge of screaming… though I think shouting would better describe my emotions.

He conveyed messages in his thoughts, messages he'd never dare to say to his Alpha aloud.

He was blaming Jovita for distracting me from catching Uriel. He felt she was a distraction to our mission, and also too low-class to be my mate.

I glared at him trying to control my anger, I could feel shudders ripping through my body. My wolf was harder to control when it came to Jovita.

Eric stared at me shocked and curious, he had never me this way.

“I'm sorry, I didn't mean any harm”, He said, looking concerne
