Zeus and I were thankful that she was willing to stay here. That we would not have to worry for her safety outside of this pack. Just the thought of something happening to her was enough to twist us up inside.

I knew that she did not have much at all and would need clothes, toiletries, and personal items. Here was the issue with that though – convincing her to let me help with it. I could tell that she was an extremely independent person, which was something that I highly respected, but I knew that it would be next to impossible to convince her unless I was able to make it appeal to her independent nature so that it was not seen as a handout or me saying it was my obligation as her mate.
