Chapter Twenty-one

After Brenda woke up the next day, she was immediately consumed by a sense of purpose. She knew what she had to do, and she wasn’t going to let anyone stand in her way. Today was the day she would make her demands heard. She got out of bed with a renewed energy, threw on some clothes, and marched out the door to his office, her heart racing with anticipation. As she made her way down the hallway, she rehearsed her list of demands over and over again in her head. She was determined to make Damien listen this time.
