Chapter Seventy-four

The atmosphere inside the opulent private jet was thick with tension as Alfred towered over Brenda, who he had made to kneel down on the floor before him. His eyes gleamed with a sadistic pleasure as he continued to threaten her life, his finger twitching on the trigger of his gun. Damien, watched the scene unfold with a mix of anguish and determination. With a steady resolve, Damien stepped forward, moving slowly towards Alfred. As he did, he dropped his own gun, the metallic clatter echoing through the confined space. He raised his hands in surrender, silently urging his men, who stood at his back, to follow suit. They positioned themselves strategically, their guns trained on Alfred and the remnants of his dwindling guard.

As Damien’s eyes locked onto Alfred’s, he began to speak, his voice steady but filled with emotion. “Alfred, you don’t have to do this. We can settle our old score between us, man to man. There’s no need to involve Brenda or her sister in this.”
