POV Eleanor.

A few hours later.

"Ellen, I'm so glad you're okay... I was so worried," Amber ran towards me and enveloped me in a warm hug. Her smile was contagious, and I couldn't help but smile along with her.

Amber entered my room, and I asked the maid to leave us alone; at that moment, the alpha king was still saying goodbye to the other guests, and I had asked to leave the party early because I was tired, my mind was still confused, and in my chest I felt a whirlwind of emotions.

"What's wrong?" I asked, curious, as she continued to smile mysteriously.

"There's something different about you... I can feel it!" she said, her eyes shining with enthusiasm.

"What do you mean? I'm just relieved that Johanna and Emily have finally paid for the harm they did to me," I replied, trying not to let myself be carried away by the hope that was starting to bubble up inside me.
