Luxian POV

I didn’t look back.

Not because I didn’t care—

But because I was scared of what I’d see if I did.

I ran barefoot through the forest, disoriented, exhausted.

My body still ached from the transformation, trembling with guilt.

The guilt of leaving him—Damien—alone with his pain.

The world around me spun like a carousel out of control.

Then I heard it—Damien’s scream tearing through the trees.

My body tensed. But I didn’t stop.

I ran until I burst out onto the roadside, lungs burning, eyes stinging with tears I didn’t realize were falling.

I fumbled through the pocket of Damien’s coat and pulled out his phone, hands shaking.

I dialed Cris.

He picked up on the first ring.

“Is Damien okay?” His voice was too calm. Too controlled—like he already knew something.

“He’s… he’s hurting himself. Please—come help him!” My voice cracked.

“I’m on my way. Just hang on,” he said. Then the line went dead.

A Few Minutes Later…

Headlights sliced through the fog.

  • Destined mate   The monster within

Luxian – POVI keep hearing that same voice echoing in my head, repeating the same words:You are worthless. You don’t deserve Damien’s love. You betrayed him.All I could do was sit and cry, taking in the pain—the endless transformation tearing me apart. My bones kept breaking and rearranging, over and over again. It never stopped. The pain kept coming.“Your screams made it so easy to find you,” came the voice of that strange man.“If you didn’t want me to find you, you wouldn’t be shouting, my love,” he mocked, gripping my arm and yanking me to my feet.I tried dragging my limping body away, but it was useless. I was too weak. I couldn’t even save myself. He dragged me roughly along the forest path. I could feel the bruises forming with each stumble. I screamed for help, but no one came. I was completely alone. Then he suddenly stopped and let me fall flat on the ground.“You’re not supposed to be here,” he said—but there was a trace of fear in his voice now.I looked up.Damien wa

  • Destined mate   Torn Between Faces

Luxian – POVThe car ride was silent.Damien’s hands gripped the steering wheel like he was trying to crush it, knuckles white, his eyes faintly glowing. I kept stealing glances at him, searching for the version of him I recognized… but this one felt distant. Cold.Or scared.I finally broke the silence.“You said someone was coming. Who?”He didn’t answer. Just kept driving deeper into the woods. No signal. No light. Just trees swallowing us whole.“Damien.”He sighed sharply through his nose, jaw clenched.“I don’t know who they sent this time.”“This time?”I turned to him fully. “You’ve done this before. Run like this. Haven’t you?”He slammed the brakes.I jolted forward, my heart jumping into my throat.“What the hell—!”He turned toward me, eyes now completely red—but he wasn’t seeing me. He was staring through me. Like I was someone else.“Shut the f**k up, Lucy. You talk too much—it’s pissing me off.”My entire body stiffened.“Don’t you dare call me Lucy,” I snapped. “Don’t

  • Destined mate   The Scent of Betrayal

Damien’s POVAfter Cris walked into the cabin, I rested my head against the steering wheel, trying to organize my thoughts.Lately, my mind has been a warzone, and I could feel it again—that creeping sensation in my chest. My demon side… clawing to take over. But I didn’t have long to reflect.Cris suddenly burst out of the cabin, rushing toward the car.“Where is Luxian?” he asked, panicked.I blinked, straightening.,”What are you talking about? I left him in the cabin!,”Without another word, I jumped out of the car and ran toward the cabin, Cris right behind me.We tore through the place, checking every room. Nothing. No trace of him.Except a broken vase on the floor.“That silly little rat,” I muttered, slamming my fist into the wall hard enough to crack the wood.“Are you sure you left him here?” Cris asked cautiously.I shot him a glare.“Where the hell would he go?”He didn’t answer. I turned and started pacing.“He’s just like Lu. He left. I wanted to believe in him, and thi

Damien – POV I pulled into the club’s parking lot, my heart pounding. Headlights cut through the night fog—and then I saw him. Cris was slumped in his car, shoulders shaking, face pale and drenched in tears. My chest tightened. Without thinking, I yanked open his car door and looked down at him. “Get out.” He looked up, broken and trembling. “I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to—” “Shut up,” I said, cutting him off. “You’re coming with me.” I pulled him out and into a rough hug. It was stiff, awkward, but overflowing with unsaid emotions. “You’re not a burden, Cris.” “But Dad will never—” “To hell with him,” I snapped. “He never cared. You don’t owe him anything. Don’t let his opinion define you.” He gave a weak smile, but then his eyes widened in panic. “Where’s Luxian? You left him… for me.” “He’s fine,” I assured him, nudging him lightly as I opened the passenger door. “Now… who’s the human?” “A guy… I think his name’s Ken. But what if he finds out about me? What if he leaves?

  • Destined mate   The Curse Beneath the Skin

Damien’s POV I glanced over at Cris, who had been staring at me for hours, his coffee long forgotten. I sighed. “His werewolf side has awakened. He’s Lu… I had doubts, but he proved me wrong. He’s just like her.” The disappointment leaked from my voice like poison. Cris sipped his coffee. “He reincarnated as Lucy, so of course he inherited her gift. But… why do you sound so disappointed, man?” “I’m not,” I lied through my teeth. “If anything, it makes revenge all the more satisfying.” “You know you’ll have to bring him here, right?” “Why? I’m not babysitting him.” “You have to. Because I’m not doing your job for you.” “My job?” I snapped, my eyes glowing red. “It’s not my f**king job to protect someone who betrayed me. I don’t care if he exposes everything—let the world deal with it. Not my problem.” “Typical Damien,” Cris muttered, standing and walking toward me. “Let me remind you—we’re the same. And that makes this our problem.” I scoffed, a twisted grin curli
