chapter 12

Elsa's pov

I'm feeling something strange around me. It's not like my life was always fun and happening but nowadays things get more stressful. I feel like someone is always around me. Like today when I went with my friends I felt like someone stared at me for a good amount of time and the strange feeling was that it was not the bad staring or lustful ogling, it  didn't make me uncomfortable. Strangely, I might need a psychiatrist to tell me how I feel good when someone stares at me.

After our day out Ron dropped me near my home. I came and directly went to the kitchen to make dinner for my brother and his wife but when they looked at me I felt their anger full eyes on me which burst out any minute I felt it without looking at it. Sixth sense. But before I praise my sense Ryder slap me hard on my cheek shouting at me

"Like this you went outside? At least think about my reputation before going out like this"

I stand there like a statue, one hand on my cheek, tears rolling down  but his words are the most piercing than any physical abuse. I wore beige pants with black sleeveless top. What is so inappropriate about my clothes?

 Where is the reputation when he slaps his sister? Where is the reputation when he is drunk on streets like a drunkhead? Where is his reputation when he is ready to sell his sister to an old man?

But I didn't say a word because he is drunk and any word fuels his anger more. Hanna looked at me and demanded an answer but I didn't budge. When she didn't get more drama then she create it she grab my arm and push me hard that I fell on the floor then she took a stick and start to  hit me hard on my legs shouting

"Now I look at how she went outside wearing these types of clothes. I didn't spare you,  you bitch trying to ruin everything"

But Ryder stopped her and took the stick and threw it near me. She didn't like that and was ready to lash on him but he showed her his palm saying to stop her. She went from there  fuming. He gave me a disgusted look and also went from there.

I completed my work with sobbing and went to my room, took  a good shower and laid on bed before my overthinking gave me a new episode. My phone rang it's a video call from my sister Jane. I picked her call and talked to her and Nike for an hour. It's been so many days since I met her. I didn't tell them what happened today or what they did with me. I never told them. Because they already have lots on their plate.

I tried to get some sleep but no help. I open my phone and read a novel and then at late night or morning I fall asleep.

Aiden's pov

Today is a special day. Today I will finally tell my decision to my family. I got ready quickly and went to the dining area. I didn't go to see my queen today and  make a sacrifice so I planned everything here for our marriage.

Everyone was already present there including Joe and Silver, wonderful. I sat on my chair with the usual stoic expression, even if I don't start my marriage topic my mom will ask me by herself. So I just need to wait for her to ask. Servants serve us breakfast and we start eating it.

I saw Mom poking dad and sign in my direction to ask me and Dad looked at her with an annoyed face. I saw it coming. Some minutes later Dad cleared his throat and asked me much awaited question

"Aiden, it's quite many days. What's your decision about her, should we ask her family or not?” 

I smile internally but I didn't show any emotion because I have some things in my mind to told them

"Ok dad" I said to them, unbothered by my answer.

"So it's a yes" Mom asked excitedly and I looked at them everyone looked at me with hopefully eyes

"Yes it's a yes" I said to them and they all jumped with happiness. Aaron, Alex and Joe hugged me. Silver almost pulled my cheeks and hugged me. Mom looked at me with teary eyes and Dad looked at me proudly. Grandpa patted my shoulders and congratulated me.

When everyone settle on their seats I told them

"But I have some conditions"

"Here we are, don't you do something without your weird conditions" Joe taunts me and I ignore him.

"What conditions are Aiden?" Grandpa asked me.

"Firstly if she refuses this alliance no one will force her" I said sitting comfortably on my chair.

"OK no one will force her," Dad replied.

"Second, the marriage will be a private ceremony. No one is invited other than family and close friends. No reception, no Bachelorette nothing” I told them, hearing groans from them.

Aaron, Alex, Joe and Silver all of them eyes wide hearing me. I know they want a grand celebration and a grand wedding but I don't want to. I don't want to give a sneak peak of my personal life to anyone.

"But we want a grand party. I made plans for your wedding" Silver said, stomping her feets almost cried. Those three boys nodded their heads.

"Joe, you seriously?" I questioned him

"So what, you are my only best friend. What do you want, a court marriage in the presence of two people" he said with sarcasm but giving me a good idea.

"That's not bad," I said and continued with my breakfast.

"Enough," Mom said finally. Making everyone stop.

"Aiden, what if she wanted her wedding grand then" she asked me. Right, I didn't know her preferences about this. I don't want to deny her wishes.

But I can't express these to them so I remain with a expressionless face and said

"Firstly you have to ask her. You even don't know what she want"

Everyone looked at me shocked hearing my reply.

"You are smart. Indeed you are a good businessman" Grandpa praised me.

"OK so we will go to her house on this sunday" Dad said making me happy.

Soon my Elsa is with me, near me for always and forever.
