I said to Delphyne who was hiding behind a pillar, her eyes cautiously scanning her surroundings.

My voice made her jump on the spot. She pivoted with her hand over her heart. The expression she gave me was the one of getting caught red-handed but no sooner did our eyes meet, her tensed shoulders slouched as relief washed over her.

"Ah! You're finally here. You don't know how hard it has been for me to hide from my son and husband and roam inside my own house with fear." She said and let out a nervous laugh but I kept my face stoic.
