It was the music of crickets late in the night that made her open her eyes cautiously. Utter silence greeted her. No sound raised a pitch higher than the constant hum of tiny creatures hidden in midnight. She was aware of the burning gaze of the healer. Leonardo hasn’t left her side since she has arrived.
