Azalel can't help shrugging while looking at a two-way glass above the ballroom. He was there for an hour now. And he didn't want to mingle in any way. While on the other hand, Lucas was the life of the party, trying to entertain the guests.

There was even a time that he looked up at him from the ballroom. Knowing exactly how disinterested he is with the whole thing.

You son of the devil, come down here.

Even from his height, he can clearly read what Lucas was trying to tell him clearly.

"Fat-chance." he was about to make an about-face. When a group of four people entered the room.

He didn't need a telescope to fairly recognize a very familiar face from that crowd.

"It can't be," his breath was almost like a thin rope that snapped.

The glass of wine that he was idly holding fell to the elegant carpet. For others, it would mean disaster, for it was worth millions. But that didn't matter much to him. His focus never left that face that haunted his memories for a million years.

"Muriel"

Urie's heart was beating rapidly upon entering the ballroom. His eyes were restless for a while now. And it's looking anxiously for someone.

Calm down Urie. It's just a guy. You don't need to get too obsessed with him. he tried telling himself.

When he suddenly stared at the mirror above what seemed to be a big room that hung on the ceiling. And looking down at the ballroom. Urie felt chills walk down his spine. As if someone was staring back at him.

He suddenly heard what seems to be someone whispering into his ears.

I knew you'd come back.

"Are you alright?" Adam noticed how he shook his head abruptly.

Was it just a mere imagination? And why does the voice sound familiar?

"Huh?"

"You shook your head just now. Aren't you feeling well?" concern flooded Adam's face as he was looking at him.

His hands were almost to touch Urie's face.

"I'm fine." he stepped back a bit. Avoiding adam's touch." I may have had water on my ears earlier. " he glanced at Rain. Luckily, his friend was busy talking to Mina.

Meanwhile,

Needless to say, Lucas was shocked to see Axel appear in front of everyone. And so did the guests. Who inevitably admired and wanted to be to close him. But did not dare to.

Their eyes followed him with admiration. As he walked straight with his eyes fixed on one part of the room. And that's where Urie was standing while talking to Adam.

Even the part where the latter tried touching Urie's face did not escape Axel's eyes. And he must admit, that really got into his nerves.

"Where exactly do you plan on going?" Lucas suddenly blocked his path.

"You're getting in my way. Step aside." he stared at Lucas with bloodshot eyes. Luckily no one saw what he did. He was definitely feeling impatience.

He just wants to pop up in front of Urie. But he restrained himself. Worrying it might scare him.

Lucas stared at him for a moment before finally giving way.

In the middle of his walk toward Urie. Lucas gestured to the musicians to start playing.

He turned to his friend. Who gave him a wink as a reply.

Lucas must have thought it was a woman he wanted to approach.

Both Urie and Adam had their heads tilted. Upon hearing a weird opening of the song that is being played by the orchestra.

"Would you like to dance with me?" Adam offered one of his hands to him.

At that moment, he saw hurt cross Rain's face.

"I'm fine, you should ask Rain instead."

Adam was about to say something when Urie turned his back. To find that someone was already standing behind him.

It's non-other than Axel Cartilier himself.

Urie somehow felt one of his knees get weakened. But strived well to keep his stance upright. He wouldn't want to humiliate himself in front of Axel Cartilier would he?

"I hope you wouldn't be so cruel to refuse me for a dance," Axel said, which made him quite confused about whether he was actually talking to him. Or someone else that is behind him.

And like a dumb person, he actually looked around and behind himself.

Mina was at least seven feet away. While the other girls aren't brave enough to step up in front of this devilish, good-looking guy like this one.

Devon can't help but laugh at his gesture.

"You are not a ghost, are you? Or am I seeing things?" Axel tried making a joke.

"Are you actually talking to me?" Urie confirmed.

"Should I ask the one beside you then?" he was talking about Adam. Who was almost invisible to Axel's eyes.

"But I'm-"

"A boy? I know, I'm not blind." he still wore that charming smile. Even when he is being sarcastically straightforward.

Axel offered his hand to him. Like no one was actually looking. While in reality. If those eyes can burn. It would hurt more than a third degree.

He felt Adam's hand on one of his elbows. Probably trying to tell him to think twice.

But as soon as he did, Axel's hand grabbed his other hand. Almost dragging Urie into the middle of the dance floor.

On that note, the melody started to play as soon as Axel held him close to his body.

She stood looking at George. While the latter was busy preparing their breakfast.“I need to tell you something.”George saw how serious she was. And was ready to listen.“Go on.”“I’m not what you think I am. At least, not what you would normally think of me.”“You’re not breaking up with me, are you?”“No. Not that I would want to. Not unless you decide it after hearing what I have to say.”“Which is?”“I’m not a mortal. But a demon. And a queen at that.” she made every word as clear as it could get. So that George could easily grasp the idea. The latter let out a relieved sigh.“I thought you were actually breaking up with me.” And continued to make sandwiches.“Hey, did you just hear what I said?”“Yes, that you’re not human but a devil. And a queen maybe?”“And?”“And what?” George threw back the question.“You don’t believe me, do you?”The latter shrugged upon her frustrated reaction.“I already knew everything even before meeting you that day. But I must admit, it was scarier

Sarah’s day of departure.Everyone was there except Orith. He seemed to be avoiding Sarah ever since he heard the news about her leaving.Although, it was brief. She had always liked how Orith was always there to make her feel better. She’ll definitely miss his popping out of nowhere. Bringing him snacks and making her laugh all the time. With his silly jokes.Even until the call for departure was announced. No Orith was seen anywhere. She had to leave with her shoulders slouched. And the pain that she would never see Orith again for the next few years. He might have someone special the moment she gets back. That thought merely squeezed her heart. Her eyes started to tear up without her knowing. She was given a first-class seat. One of the perks of being Axel Cartiliers younger sister.Though none of that made her happy.A passenger next to her arrived from the toilet. It sat silent and began to sleep. She was still busy looking elsewhere when she turned her glance. Something seemed f

  • Devil's don't fly   An overwhelming proposal

“I’ve been accepted.” Sarah happily told Axel and Lucas. Who she considered being his family and older brothers since. Urie was there as well, as the two almost never left each other's side.“That’s good news,” Axel uttered. “But you really don’t need to study far away from us. We can always get you a high position in the company once you graduate.”“And besides, the company will need someone to run it someday. If we ever decide to get married soon.” Lucas added.Axel and Urie threw a suspicious look at Lucas.“I know, but wouldn’t it be better if I can achieve everything without you guys always backing me up?” it sounded more like a pleading than a question asked.“Fine. But promise that you’d call us every time a problem arises, deal?” said Axel.“Deal.” Sarah went to hug his two demon brothers. As well as her sister-in-law. Urie.***“What’s the problem?” Axel noticed Urie’s silence ever since they left the mansion. They’re on their way to the latter’s house.“I’m just worried abou

  • Devil's don't fly   Seeing you was the best part.

Eight months passed by so quickly. But for some, it was longer than a million years combined. The ones that longed for someone they can't be with anymore.Everyone noticed how sad Lucas was since that day Gabriel had to say goodbye."Would you want to hang out together?" Axel felt like he needed to cheer his brother. He had already asked Urie for a boy's night out with Adam and Orith."Shouldn't you be hanging out with your boyfriend?" Lucas had one eyebrow lifted. He knows what Axel is trying to do."How many times do I have to tell you guys, that I'm alright?" he had his voice heightened a bit. Just so the ones behind his office door could hear him clearly. He knew that everyone's worried about them lately. But what makes it worst is when they make it more obvious. By rubbing it in.Other than Lilibeth, who was always content having his son around. He was the only one without a partner. And in those times, he misses Gabriel's angry reaction each and every time."Just, let me be alon

Kristoff stood with a wide grin on his face. There was a terrified look on Muriel's face. As he stared at Axel who shielded him from the attack. He wanted to save Axel first. But the latter had the tables turned. And used its body to cover him."You sure know how to make someone's heart flutter."Kristoff said in a mocking voice.A flush of blood flowed through its mouth. As it held on to the sword that Archangel Michael had thrust on him."No wonder, Urie had chosen you over anyone."It continued to cough in a weakened manner."He deserves to be with someone who can protect him even with his life. "Axel and Muriel had their eyes fixed on each other. Remembering how it all came to be. And how it would all end. With Muriel back to his old duties as an archangel. That Asmon had to literally unseal himself to help stop the other fallen angels. It was a fight that marked the start of a new alliance.***“Why do you love Azalel so much? When he can’t even tell the one he loves from before and now?” Kristoff produced an image of Muriel and Axel from way back.If Urie had seen this, he might have fallen for Kristoff’s trap. Muriel thought to himself. But for him, it was just a memory of a beautiful past he had shared with the young Azalel. The one he thought, would make a better ruler than Lucifer.“Can’t you see? He doesn’t really love you. It was the angel Muriel then, and even now.” Kristoff tried swaying him. As he thought of him as Urie. “You’re just a replacement for somethin
