I heard the angels call again
I threw myself a partyChardonnay and oxyI stopped the screams inside my headI remember when you had meFloating high like Sid and NancyThey say it's not the answer but I can't carry on'Cause I got nowhere, no one, without you boy I'm doneAnd when I'm gone, remember you're the oneAnd just because I fight don't mean that I never learned how to loveYou know devils don't fly So don't expect me not to fallDevils don't flyBut God we almost had it allBut I got chains and you got wingsYou know that life ain't fair sometimesDevils don't fly But I try"Don't you think the song had a very sad meaning?" Axel asked out of the blue.To be honest, he felt the same thing. But why does his heart hurt more than it should upon hearing his question?
"Devils and angels were never a match. It's just sad that one of them had to fall for the other. Yet, their nature prevents them from being together. Or rather be friends."
"Do you think the same thing?" it sounded more like a confirmation that he wants to hear from him. Then a mere question someone asked abruptly.
"If you are an angel. And I myself am a devil. Would you still accept me? As a friend, or better yet, your lover?"The question was followed by a very sweet smile. That no one would ever think of being offensive."Are you jealous?" Rain walked to Adam's side like a silent cat. Or adam was probably too preoccupied to notice. While his eyes linger on the two good-looking people who somehow had taken everyone's attention."I'm just worried that he'd play Uries feelings. You know how rich, handsome guys do their thing."
"I can assure you, he's not a playboy. And the way he walked towards Urie. I can tell that he's not playing around."
"He's gay?" Mina suddenly appeared like he was about to burst into tears. "How can he be gay? He's too good-looking."
"And what's wrong with being gay and good-looking?" Rain countered.
"That's not the point."
The two continued bickerings. While Adam silently focussed on Urie's reaction.
He looked calm and comfortable inside Axel's arms. It's as if it was not the first the two of them met.
Even his eyes gleamed at the sight of this tall good-looking debonaire.
He was never like that in front of him. Yes, Urie was always a shy, timid person. But now, he is seeing a very different side of himself. The one that looks comfortable being around someone. Like an old acquaintance. Or a long-lost love.
"Why the shock look?" Devon teased Urie. He liked to see his small face blushing like a bride on her wedding night."Aren't you even worried that they might misinterpret what you are saying?"
He moved closer to Urie's already warm ears.
"If I'm that worried, I won't be walking right up to you. And holding the way I am holding you right now."
Again, he was amused by how cute Urie looked with that jaw-dropping. expression of his.
Angels were never meant to fallAnd you were the loveliest of allIf I thought God could fix itI'd pray for your forgivenessBut I've been cast down, thrown outWhen I crossed to the other side"The song tells everything I wanted to say,"
"What?" Urie thought he heard wrong. But upon looking at Axel's eyes.
He confirmed that he was sending him a clear message.
It's like the time stopped for a moment. No, it did stop. But Axel was nowhere near bothered about it. The man lowered his gaze to meet his. And locked it there. A hypnotizing stare froze him still. But it had nothing to do with time being still. He wouldn't move. He doesn't want to. He wanted to feel it, taste it.Axel's lips touched his soft tender lips. And it stayed there for a while.
Urie felt his world spin in never-ending bliss. Is this a dream? Is Axel Cartilier really kissing him at this moment?
"Devon,"Like a snap of a finger. Their lips parted upon hearing that voice. A man as good-looking as Axel appeared behind them. That made the latter a bit enraged for a reason.
"Do you know not to disturb me when I'm in the middle of something important?"
"This is important. I really need to talk to you."
The two men stared at each other. With eyes sparring like swords wielding at one another. You would'nt know who comes out to be the victor."You make sure that this is not wasting any of my time, or else-"
" I assure you, you would want to hear this more than anything right now," Lucas said to Azazel in the most serious manner he had ever seen.
"Meet me at the study later," Axel confirmed.
As soon as Lucas left, he turned to face Urie's baffled expression.
"I promise you, this won't be the last time we'll ever meet. " I'll be sure to find you again." He left a light peck on one of his cheeks.
Causing a chorusing gasp from everyone who saw.
She stood looking at George. While the latter was busy preparing their breakfast.“I need to tell you something.”George saw how serious she was. And was ready to listen.“Go on.”“I’m not what you think I am. At least, not what you would normally think of me.”“You’re not breaking up with me, are you?”“No. Not that I would want to. Not unless you decide it after hearing what I have to say.”“Which is?”“I’m not a mortal. But a demon. And a queen at that.” she made every word as clear as it could get. So that George could easily grasp the idea. The latter let out a relieved sigh.“I thought you were actually breaking up with me.” And continued to make sandwiches.“Hey, did you just hear what I said?”“Yes, that you’re not human but a devil. And a queen maybe?”“And?”“And what?” George threw back the question.“You don’t believe me, do you?”The latter shrugged upon her frustrated reaction.“I already knew everything even before meeting you that day. But I must admit, it was scarier
Sarah’s day of departure.Everyone was there except Orith. He seemed to be avoiding Sarah ever since he heard the news about her leaving.Although, it was brief. She had always liked how Orith was always there to make her feel better. She’ll definitely miss his popping out of nowhere. Bringing him snacks and making her laugh all the time. With his silly jokes.Even until the call for departure was announced. No Orith was seen anywhere. She had to leave with her shoulders slouched. And the pain that she would never see Orith again for the next few years. He might have someone special the moment she gets back. That thought merely squeezed her heart. Her eyes started to tear up without her knowing. She was given a first-class seat. One of the perks of being Axel Cartiliers younger sister.Though none of that made her happy.A passenger next to her arrived from the toilet. It sat silent and began to sleep. She was still busy looking elsewhere when she turned her glance. Something seemed f
“I’ve been accepted.” Sarah happily told Axel and Lucas. Who she considered being his family and older brothers since. Urie was there as well, as the two almost never left each other's side.“That’s good news,” Axel uttered. “But you really don’t need to study far away from us. We can always get you a high position in the company once you graduate.”“And besides, the company will need someone to run it someday. If we ever decide to get married soon.” Lucas added.Axel and Urie threw a suspicious look at Lucas.“I know, but wouldn’t it be better if I can achieve everything without you guys always backing me up?” it sounded more like a pleading than a question asked.“Fine. But promise that you’d call us every time a problem arises, deal?” said Axel.“Deal.” Sarah went to hug his two demon brothers. As well as her sister-in-law. Urie.***“What’s the problem?” Axel noticed Urie’s silence ever since they left the mansion. They’re on their way to the latter’s house.“I’m just worried abou
Eight months passed by so quickly. But for some, it was longer than a million years combined. The ones that longed for someone they can't be with anymore.Everyone noticed how sad Lucas was since that day Gabriel had to say goodbye."Would you want to hang out together?" Axel felt like he needed to cheer his brother. He had already asked Urie for a boy's night out with Adam and Orith."Shouldn't you be hanging out with your boyfriend?" Lucas had one eyebrow lifted. He knows what Axel is trying to do."How many times do I have to tell you guys, that I'm alright?" he had his voice heightened a bit. Just so the ones behind his office door could hear him clearly. He knew that everyone's worried about them lately. But what makes it worst is when they make it more obvious. By rubbing it in.Other than Lilibeth, who was always content having his son around. He was the only one without a partner. And in those times, he misses Gabriel's angry reaction each and every time."Just, let me be alon
Kristoff stood with a wide grin on his face. There was a terrified look on Muriel's face. As he stared at Axel who shielded him from the attack. He wanted to save Axel first. But the latter had the tables turned. And used its body to cover him."You sure know how to make someone's heart flutter."Kristoff said in a mocking voice.A flush of blood flowed through its mouth. As it held on to the sword that Archangel Michael had thrust on him."No wonder, Urie had chosen you over anyone."It continued to cough in a weakened manner."He deserves to be with someone who can protect him even with his life. "Axel and Muriel had their eyes fixed on each other. Remembering how it all came to be. And how it would all end. With Muriel back to his old duties as an archangel. And Axel is with the one he chooses to love. Which was Urie.Kristoff's body crashed down the floor lifeless. Everything else faded along with it.They then heard a cry of defeat coming from Lucifer. Who had all his follower's
With all the chaos going on. Lucifer and the other princes of hell except Azalel were at battle with the angels. While Orith used Asmon’s powers to help Lilibeth and the others to stop the humans from destroying the earth. It was until the battle of heaven reached earth. That Asmon had to literally unseal himself to help stop the other fallen angels. It was a fight that marked the start of a new alliance.***“Why do you love Azalel so much? When he can’t even tell the one he loves from before and now?” Kristoff produced an image of Muriel and Axel from way back.If Urie had seen this, he might have fallen for Kristoff’s trap. Muriel thought to himself. But for him, it was just a memory of a beautiful past he had shared with the young Azalel. The one he thought, would make a better ruler than Lucifer.“Can’t you see? He doesn’t really love you. It was the angel Muriel then, and even now.” Kristoff tried swaying him. As he thought of him as Urie. “You’re just a replacement for somethin
