After speaking, Evelyn grabbed hold of Clara's wrist.

Instantly, Clara felt a piercing pain course through her body.

"Evelyn, my hand is not healed yet. If you dare touch me again, I'll make you regret it!"

A cold sneer escaped Evelyn's lips. "Clara, don't you know that those who have nothing to lose have nothing to fear? You've set me up over and over again, and if I don't settle the score with you now, how the hell will I ever be worthy in your eyes?

"You accused me of injuring your hand, causing you to forfeit in the piano competition, right? How about I fulfill your wish and let you experience a real injury?"

With a forceful motion, a crisp sound echoed through the air.

Clara's deafening scream followed.

"Ah! Evelyn Jefferson! How dare you break my hand! Do you even know how much my hands are worth? Even if you sell everything, you still won't be able to compensate me!"

"That's perfect—I never intended to compensate you anyway!"
