I slowly took a step back, my heart pounding hard against my chest, this didn’t make any sense. Either I was in a completely different world or I had somehow woken up inside another person’s body. But that was impossible, right? Things like that only happened in movies and crazy stories. “This can’t be real…” I whispered under my breath. My eyes drifted back to the mirror. I leaned closer, studying the face staring back at me. It was unfamiliar, yet something about it tugged at my memory. I frowned, trying to remember where I had seen her before. Then it hit me, my eyes widened in shock. “Yes…!” I gasped softly. I have just switched body with a popular stripper, I knew her because her videos went viral last year abd I had caught some maids or guards in the house watching her videos, not only did her dance videos make her popular, she was also involved in a lot of scandals. How can I switch soul with someone like this, I have never even gone to a party a day before in my life. My sisters and I were groomed solely to carry the king’s heir. My whole life is about to be a total chaos. My stomach dropped. “How did I end up in her body?” I muttered, my voice barely above a whisper. A sudden loud knock on the door made me flinch, “Elena, are you okay?” I froze. I hesitated for a moment before forcing my legs to move. Slowly, I walked to the door and opened it, the moment I stepped out, everyone outside looked relieved. I didn’t know what to say, so I turned away from them and walked back to the bed, my head spinning. Everything felt unreal, like I was standing on the edge of losing my mind. The red-haired woman from earlier quickly moved closer to me. “Elena, it’s me Amelia,” she said gently. “Your friend, do you not recognize me?” I said nothing, I just stared at her. Her face was filled with worry, but I couldn’t respond. Amelia turned slightly and leaned toward the doctor. “Wait, did you tell her about the miscarriage?” she asked in a low voice. My breath caught, a Miscarriage? My hands instinctively flew to my stomach, this body had been pregnant? How did we switch soul, what happened to my actual body? Did her soul wake up in my body too? If she really ended up in my body, She was probably already buried. Fiona had been so eager to get rid of me, she wouldn’t have wasted any time. “I haven’t told her about the baby yet,” the doctor replied quietly. Even though he was whispering, I could still hear him clearly. After a while, the doctor stepped closer and began checking me—my pulse, my eyes, asking simple questions. Amelia stayed by my side the entire time, finally the doctor straightened up and glanced at her. “Don’t overwhelm her with too many questions,” he said calmly. “She needs to rest.” He said before he walked out of the room. She moved closer to me almost immediately, like she had been waiting for the chance. “See, Elena…” she began, her voice softer now. “I’m really sorry for throwing you out of my apartment.” I just watched her. “It wasn’t just because it was crowded,” she continued quickly, her hands fidgeting. “I was scared, you always have trouble following you around, and I didn’t want to get dragged into it.” I still didn’t respond. She sighed and rubbed the back of her neck. “The real problem now is, where are you going to stay after you’re discharged from the hospital?” So Elena didn’t even have a place to live, great. I swallowed before asking, “What about my apartment?” Amelia hesitated, her eyes flickering away from mine. “You got kicked out,” she admitted. “But some of your things are still at my place.” This was unbelievable, out of all the people in the world, I ended up in the body of a ridiculously attractive stripper who was broke, homeless, and clearly surrounded by trouble. I almost laughed. Why does my life always find a way to be miserable? Even after everything, now I had to start over again. In a world that clearly had no intention of being kind to me. “Listen,” Amelia said suddenly, snapping me out of my thoughts. I looked at her. “I think the guy who hit you with his car is seriously loaded,” she said, glancing around the hospital room. “Just look at this ward, this isn’t cheap.” I followed her gaze, she wasn’t wrong. “You could get money from him,” she continued, lowering her voice like she was sharing a brilliant secret. “We can say you lost something valuable during the accident. Like jewelry or something expensive. Then we collect money from him and we can use it to get a better place.” I blinked at her slowly. “I don’t think I can swindle anyone,” I said, choosing my words carefully. For a second, she stared at me then she burst into loud laughter. “Look at you acting all innocent!” she said, wiping at the corner of her eye. “Have you forgotten who you are?” I frowned slightly. “You practically have a degree in scamming people,” she added. “The Marcini brothers are still looking for you, remember? After you swindled them.” My lips parted, but no words came out, so this body didn’t just come with beauty and problems, it came with enemies too. Before I could even respond, the door suddenly opened. The doctor stepped in, clearing his throat politely. “Sorry to interrupt,” he said. “The man who hit you with his car is here. Would you like me to let him in?” I didn’t even get the chance to answer. “Of course,” Amelia said quickly, almost too eagerly. “Let him in.” Honestly, I wasn’t ready to see anyone, my mind was already a mess, and all I wanted was time to figure out what my next move would be. The doctor stepped aside and opened the door wider, a man walked in. The moment my eyes landed on him, my breath caught. The moon goddess sure have a great sense of humor., Fate had just delivered the person I want to hurt the most into my life, the author of all the problems myself and my sisters had gone through, it’s going to be such an interesting ride.SummerI slowly took a step back, my heart pounding hard against my chest, this didn’t make any sense. Summer The first thing I noticed was the endless beeping of machines. Beeping? In heaven? I thought, and a dry laugh slipped through my mind, not this life again. I opened my eyes slowly, squinting against the harsh white light. Walls, ceiling, and that sterile smell, it was unmistakable. A hospital, not exactly the afterlife I imagined.I tried to kick, to protest, to yell but my body felt like it had been stuffed with lead. Every limb ached, every joint screamed. I muttered silently, my teeth gritted in fury. “Moon goddess, really? Couldn’t I just die in peace? Like Rest In Peace for real?” Even lying there, helpless, I couldn’t stop the anger bubbling up. The world was loud, cruel, and apparently had a sick sense of humor. And me? I was stuck in the middle of it, bruised, broken, and entirely unwilling to cooperate. The darkness swallowed me again, cold and endless, pulling me into oblivion. Then, slowly, light returned again,my eyes fluttered open, and for a moment, the shape
SummerI forced myself to keep moving despite the storm, even though I was scared that I would end up just like the maid. Minutes passed, then lightning suddenly flashed across the sky again. For a brief second, everything became visible and then I saw Lilo, the small cat was curled under a car, trembling. Relief flooded through me. I rushed forward without thinking, crouching down and pulling him into my arms. He was soaked and shaking violently, so I held him tightly against my chest.“I have got you…” I whispered, though my own body was trembling just as much. The storm grew worse, I turned and ran toward the house, my steps unsteady as the wind fought against me. Reaching the door, I knocked hard. “Open the door!” I shouted but there was no answer. I knocked again, louder this time, panic rising in my chest.“Please! Open the door!” Still nothing. The rain poured harder, the wind howling like something alive. I clutched Lilo tightly, shielding him as best as I could. My heart p
Summer“Leave.”My mother-in-law, Fiona, snapped at me, her voice sharp, I had barely pulled out a chair beside my husband when she spoke again.“What do you think you’re doing?” she asked, her eyes narrowing as she looked me up and down. “You think that seat is meant for you?”I slowly turned to my husband, hoping just once that he would say something. But he didn’t, he just sat there, his expression blank, as though none of this concerned him. As though I wasn’t standing right there, being humiliated in front of everyone.I swallowed hard, forcing myself to look away. I shouldn’t be surprised, he had never spoken to me since our wedding day. Not even a glance that acknowledged I existed.A bitter laugh escaped Fiona’s lips. “You think he’s going to defend you?” she mocked. “He doesn’t care about you. In fact, I doubt he even knows you exist.”Her words echoed in my chest, “Now get out,” she continued, waving her hand dismissively. “That seat is reserved for my future daughter-in-l
