Chapter Forty-Four
I was greeted with the sight of Jax holding the beaten form of Seamus Curtis and Guinivere struggling to hold his brother Ronald. She looked like she could use the help, so I shaped and pushed my magic out to bind the man, leaving him suspended and immobile. Guin gave me a curt nod and backed herself to the corner of the room. Jax must have broken the news to her because I didn’t get so much as a smile from her. Holding Ronald Curtis in place I turned my eyes to Seamus. Even in his captured state he stared out at me through eyes full of disdain and contempt. I was everything he hated, and it was obvious as I stand here in front of everyone with my fangs pronounced and my wings showing huge and bright at my back.
