Xavier

The moment Angela walked through that door, I first reaction was awe. Despite how many times I’ve seen her beautiful face, I’m always brought to my knees each time she appears.

Her face should constantly portray happiness. It pains me that most of the time, I’m blameworthy of her tears and sadness. I hate myself for causing her pain, and for that reason, no one, absolutely no one has the right to make her cry. It took everything in me not to question her about her puffy face when she walked in. Appreciating her was the most important thing at that moment, and now that I’m done with that, I moved to more pressing issues. “You’ve been crying, and I want to know why.”

She laughed nervously, trying to blow away the seriousness of the question. “What? You can tell?” My eyes narrowed at her, silently warning her to take the question seriously. “It’s nothing serious Xavier. I was just watching Titanic with_” She paused mid sentence which heightened my suspicion.
