Hazel's POV

“Why can’t you let me go? You’ve done enough damage in our lives," I sneered, pushing him off me. He backed off, giving me the space I needed, his back now facing me.

“Alright, you can take them with you, Hazel. I shouldn’t force you to make a choice,” he said, his words taking me aback. Just like that? No refusal or trying to go all alpha male on me.

“Indeed, I am the selfish one here, and I am sorry,” he said and then walked to the driver’s seat, not giving me a chance to think things through. I blinked myself out of the daze I was in and got into the car. I watched him keenly.

He’s no longer angry, yet he is calm.

The ride back home was filled with tension. Liam unbuckled his seat belt and then leaned on the chair, watching me keenly through the rearview mirror. “I just want to tell you that what I said today at the press conference won’t be debunked because I do not want to expose my kids to bullying,” he muttered and got down from the car, leaving me behind.

Liam's POV Did I make the right decision in making her leave? I have no idea, but one thing I know is, I am never letting her go without having someone guarding her.Hazel thinks I am trying to take the kids away from her and my threats didn't help earlier. I didn't mean to sound that way; I tried to reason with her but I allowed my anger clouded my eyes.I left last night because I couldn't watch her leave, I was afraid I might change my mind. I have hurt her and I really want to make amends but Hazel isn't letting me. She hates me to the core and I understand… I get why she would hate me.Why she would see me as someone who is hellbent on destroying her life.A sigh escaped from my lips, I had come to the office as a form of distraction. Hazel would be long gone before Dominic finds out, even though he has no bad blood with her. He wouldn't want a Brooks to be outside his territory except if they are old enough to be, especially when they haven't reached the age of six. It was a da

Hazel A groan elicited from my lips, a throbbing headache rushed in as I tried to sit upright. I held my head, wincing because the pain had surpassed whatever I had expected. It felt like they were twisting my brain with a rod, that was how bad it was. This was crazy! “Fuck!” I cursed, clutching tightly to the sheet on the bed. Finally, the pain subsided a bit, but it was still lingering. I opened my eyes, it was blurry and it felt like the world was upside down. I tried to remember what happened, the memories rushed in, not giving me a chance to breathe. Maya! Mason! Where are my kids? The hell! I tried to get down from the bed, I knew I was supposed to check my surroundings but I panicked. I knew they were nearby… I could smell their scent. “Hazel, what the…” Liam trailed off as he rushed over to my side to assist me. “My kids, where are they?” My voice was hoarse and my throat hurt as the words rolled out of my lips, it was dry and cracked. “They are fine. They are sa

Peculiar's POV It happened all of a sudden… the glass shattering. Loud noise was ringing in my ear, I could barely breathe, the kids were screaming and calling their mom for help. I was about to move when the door flung open and I was being dragged out, my whole body reeling from the pain caused by the hit.I groaned, screaming as I tried to fight with the little strength that remained inside of me. The only person coming to my mind was Tate, I don't know why but I begged desperately for him to show up.“Haa, no, leave my kids alone,” I heard Hazel scream which caused me to jerk. “Holy shit!” I heard one of them say. The one holding my legs, left me alone to whatever it is that caught their attention. My heart heaving hard in my chest, my eyes feeling heavy, I was about to give in to darkness when I heard a howl.Panicked, rushing inside of me, my stomach turning as I was afraid that we all were going to be attacked by a wolf, I forced myself to stand up. The men shrieked and their

Lucy's POV Godforsaken… I had been brutally assaulted by that wretched man. I hate him to the core, and the work he has for me was far dead. Before there was any Lucy Taylor, I was Lucinda!Lucinda wasn’t just my birth name but a name I used for the terrible jobs Joe had for me. A sex worker and a temptress, I seduce people and then use what I've got to blackmail them till they have nothing, but now he wants me back into the game I fought so hard to get away from. Either that or kill Liam’s kids. The shocker I got from today’s news was mind-blowing; I had no idea Liam had kids until today. Hazel's kids were his; Mason was literally his look-alike, no doubt. I can ruin someone's temptation, even go ahead to blackmail them till they commit suicide, but to kill, I have never done that.“It is still the same as you blackmailing them till they commit suicide, just this time you do the killing and not the blackmail,” Joe’s words echoed in my head.qKill the kids!Heck, I hate their mother…
