Every word out of Kayla's mouth dripped with smugness. Everyone in the company knew Adam had taken only his new personal assistant along on his latest business trip. This wasn't a friendly greeting. It was a deliberate taunt.

Renee smirked. "Personal assistant? You mean the kind who strips down and climbs right into bed?"

Her tone stayed calm and her face unreadable, as if none of it concerned her, adding, "Yeah. Sounds like a perfect fit for you."
