•Juliet’s POV•

Raya stepped further into the room, her eyes teary as she stared at us in disbelief. I rolled my eyes, feeling a sudden ache in my chest as my heartbeat increased.

Regret quietly crept in. I started to question my decision of accepting Edward back into my life. Why didn’t I think of the fact that Raya would come back and try to ruin everything? I grabbed my purse from the bed, not even sparing Edward a glance as Raya walked deeper into the room.

“Juliet, please don’t go,” Edward pleaded, his voice soft and broken.

“Eddy, tell me you’re not with her now?” Raya cried, her eyes locked on Edward before narrowing at me. Her voice trembled with disbelief. “Tell me you’re deceiving her.”

“Enough, Raya!” Edward snapped, but before I could leave, he took my hand in his. “Please don’t go, Juliet.”

“Eddy!” Raya called again, stepping closer with fury in her eyes. “Get your hands off him!”
