I stared at my reflection in the mirror as I blow-dried my hair, the thought of what Vera had said rammed through my thoughts.

"Could it be that Leyi is really working for James?" I muttered and brushed my hand through my hair before dropping the dryer on the vanity table. I turned toward the walk-in closet, but my gaze drifted toward the door. Edward was standing there, staring at me with a pitiful gaze.

I looked away hastily, a chill crawling up my spine. I couldn’t tell if it was from the anger burning in me or the strange relief of seeing him again. He stepped further into the room, his gaze fixed on me, but I ignored it and walked into the closet.

I picked out a gray corporate skirt and a white blouse before walking back out. I laid them gently on the bed and turned toward the closet again to grab a pair of shoes, but paused when I saw Edward standing at the closet door, holding a pair of nude heels.

Dang it I hate waiting for more chapters. I now know what it is like having to wait for chapters, and that is waiting for the next week on a show or having to wait for a commercial. The book is seriously good although there was a time I was gonna quit reading it. The jury is still out on it.
