Marriage contract

Lorenzo pov

I watch as her eyes widen in shock before something clouds those beautiful brown orbs. Is that shame I saw? Definitely.

" You should leave too. " She says standing on her feet. Her innocent eyes look anywhere but my face.

I can see she is broken, shattered even. But who wouldn't after what that scum of an ex- husband subject her to.

I am usually not a compassionate person. I don't like my women weak and fragile but something about this woman stirs something deep within me.  She has always had that ability since the first time I laid my eyes on her six years ago.

Something about her pulls me to her, like how a moth is attracted to light.

I want to pull her in my arms and comfort her.

Casting one last glance at her, I walk out and head towards the reception.

I make to pass when I hear the nurses gossip about Megan.

" I heard she slept with an escort. That's why her husband dumped her. "

" With a good man like Mr Massimo, why would she need to bed a gigolo? It's disgusting! "

" She is a whore. Do you think she cares about who she f*cks?  She dragged her father to hell with her. "

" Its a curse to have a daughter like her."

" Seeing how she pretends to be good, no one would guess she is so dirty. "

Every accusation, crueller than the previous one.

" Don't you have anything better than gossip about your patients! " I roar and everyone scrambles on their feet after seeing me.

My family owns this hospital so it's not surprising they know my identity.

Its one of the many businesses run under the Massimo empire.

I head to my car and retrieve something before making a brief call.

A minute later, I pushed the door to the room. Megan is sitting on a chair beside her father's bed.

I walk to her and hand her the bottle of water. She takes it, uttering a weak thankyou.

" I made arrangements. Your father will be scheduled for surgery tomorrow." I inform her and she chokes on the water she was drinking.

She coughs, tears filling her eyes.

I pat her back. " Are you okay? " I ask.

Of course not dummy! What was I even thinking of asking such a stupid question.

She pulls away from me and I see her eyes fill with hope?

" Really? " She asks and I nod.

I expect her to be happy but then, sadness clouds her eyes.

" What do you want in exchange? " She asks and I smile.

" Don't worry about that. I definitely won't ask you to be my mistress. " I reply and I smile when she slumps her shoulders.

" Let's go? " I ask, offering my hand to her.

Megan looks me in the face, then my hand and back to my face with a frown marred on her face.

" I have seen suspicious faces trying to sneak around the hospital. " I lie. " You don't want your picture with your husband's uncle gracing the headlines tomorrow, right? " I continue and her eyes widen.

She stands on her feet, adjusts her disguise and makes a beeline to the door.

Leaving the hospital with my bodyguards clearing the way, I led her to my car.

" I can drive myself home. " She says meekly.

" Home? You mean parking your old car in random parking lots and spending the nights there?" I ask.

After my nephew took everything from her, he was not decent enough to leave her with even a roof over her head.

Megan whips her head to me, eyes wide like saucers.

" You've been keeping tabs? " She says, her tone accusatory.

" More like watching out for you. "

Did she think no one would notice her actions? With how unsafe the streets are, who knows what would have happened to her if I didn't ask for my men to protect her.

Snatching her car keys and tossing them to one of my men, I usher her into my car.  This time, she does not resist.

I drive us to my penthouse and lead her to the house.

" Go and freshen up. We have something to discuss. " I say, pointing to my bathroom.

She looks around, a nervous expression on her face.

" The bedroom is upstairs, third door to the left. I will order something for us. "

Slumping on the sofa, I make myself comfortable.

I don't know how to act around her and its taking me too much self control not to grab the little woman in my hands and bury myself deep inside her.

I want to see her writhe beneath me and listen to her cry out in pleasure as she cums.

But, I know that I have to take things slow with her. She doesn't know my wild side and unleashing that now will only scare her away.

Fifteen minutes later, the little woman walks down the stairs.

My eyes pop wide when I see her cream coloured skin covered with my shirt.  The shirt is long, acting as a shirt dress.

She timidly walks and stands metres away from me.

" You look good in my shirt. " The words escape my mouth before I can stop myself. But damn! She looks so hot that I wouldn't mind her wearing nothing but my shirts when we are indoors.

I think i'll propose that . First things first.

"'Take a seat. " I offer and walk to the table cabinet and retrieve a stack of documents that had been laying there for three days now.

Walking back to the sofa, I hand her the papers.

" Take your time to read through. Tell me if there's something you want amended and I'll contact my lawyer." I instruct before leaning on the sofa and lighting up my cigar.

I am nervous, something I have never been even when facing my rivals or even when negotiating a business deal. But for some reason, I am waiting for Megan to get a glimpse of my proposal to her.

I watch as her eyes widen when she reads the bold letters on top of the paper.

" A marriage contract? You want to marry me?”

  • Divorced My Scum Husband And Married His Uncle   The End

Megan povTwo years laterSometimes, life plays out differently than we expected or planned. As I stand before the mirror, admiring the woman reflected in the mirror, I can't help but smile. Sic years. That's what it took me to realize that the only place I belonged to was by Lorenzo's side. And today is that day we are gonna tie the knot and unite in holy matrimony. What started as a contract marriage is transforming to something special and beautiful. The past two years have been nothing but eventful. About a year ago, I gave birth to our second child, a son. When we learnt about my pregnancy, Lorenzo wanted us to get married immediately. I didn't like the idea of wearing my wedding gown with a bulging belly. It didn't help that I had a lot of work to do. From managing my fathers company in Chicago to my own company in Vegas. Lorenzo was also busy with the real estate project his company was working on in Vegas so we agreed to hold the wedding at a later date. After all, in the

  • Divorced My Scum Husband And Married His Uncle   Three months

MEGAN’S POV Katalina stirs her cappuccino, watching me over the rim of her cup with a smirk that I didn’t trust. “How long has it been since you started living together?” she asks, her voice laced with curiosity. I lean back in my chair, letting the scent of roasted coffee beans and vanilla swirl around me. My favorite coffee shop, my favorite corner, and yet, she had dragged me out of my office, claiming I was overworking myself. “Three months,” I said, smiling as I trace the rim of my cup with my fingertip. “And it still feels like yesterday.” Three months since I moved back to Chicago. Three months of waking up beside Lorenzo, of feeling his warmth seep into my skin, of watching him keep every single promise he had made to me. Lorenzo isn't just loving—he is attentive, as if he has memorized my every need and made it his mission to fulfill them before I even realize what I want. He treats me like a queen, making up for every second we had lost. I lift my cup, craving th

  • Divorced My Scum Husband And Married His Uncle   Miss me?

MEGAN’S POV I couldn’t even remember how the rest of the evening played out because Lorenzo was glued to my side like he was afraid I’d disappear. Every time someone tried to steal a moment with me, he would find an excuse to pull me away—into random rooms, dark corners, anywhere he could have me to himself. And every single time, he kissed me like his life depended on it, like he had been starving and I was the only thing that could satisfy his hunger. Then, as if nothing had happened, we’d step back into the party, his arm wrapped tightly around me, his smirk daring anyone to question it. Everyone noticed, of course. They weren’t blind. But no one said a word. Not when it was our night. Not when I was finally going to get married—for real this time.By the end of the celebration, after receiving endless congratulations and well wishes, we left. Lorenzo’s father had insisted on keeping Elena for the night, claiming he wanted to spend more time with her. And honestly? We were too eag

  • Divorced My Scum Husband And Married His Uncle   little rascal

MEGAN’S POVLorenzo was on one knee, his dark eyes locked onto mine, his face illuminated by the soft glow of lights I hadn't even noticed turning on. The world around us had faded into silence, leaving only the sound of my pounding heart and his steady, expectant breaths.“Megan, will you try me for real this time?" His voice was rough with emotion, his grip on the velvet box tight, as if he feared I might vanish before he could place the ring on my finger.I couldn't speak. My throat closed up. The sight of him kneeling before me, the weight of what he was asking, settled over me like a storm. I had promised him another chance—I had vowed to try—but this? This was something bigger, something permanent. This was me handing over my heart, my trust, my life to him once again. And the last time I'd done that, he'd shattered me.Lorenzo saw the hesitation in my eyes, his brows drawing together, his fingers tightening around the ring box. “Megan," he whispered, his voice hoarse, "I know I

  • Divorced My Scum Husband And Married His Uncle   A lie

MEGAN’S POVThe past month had been...i don't even know how to describe it, a storm of emotions, but somehow, everything had fallen into place. For the first time in what felt like forever, I could breathe.Who would have thought that after what Rael did to Lorenzo, he’d survive?Yet here he was—alive, strong, and laughing as he played with Elena, our daughter. The sight of them on the floor together, her tiny fingers tugging at his shirt as he pretended to lose a playful tug-of-war, warmed me in ways I couldn’t describe. I curled up on the couch, sipping my favorite wine, letting the moment settle over me like a comforting blanket. Then, for what felt like the twentieth time today, Lorenzo’s phone rang."Excuse me, I have to take this," he muttered, already standing.I watched as he strode away, his back tense, voice low when he answered. I had never minded his work calls before, not when we first moved to Chicago, not when he had to step away in the middle of a meal, but lately… som
