Third POV

She began to beat herself, thinking her negligence in telling him directly was the reason for all that. “I would have just told him I was pregnant with our children, maybe everything wouldn't take this turn.” She said to herself.

At the same time, she had to bring herself to the sad reality that the papers were prepared even before she got there and they were prepared by none other than the woman whom she took as a best friend while with her dad. She thought that Alice was the first best stepmom who might even love her much more than her real mom. It was such a double betrayal.

Her heart was ceasing, she felt her breath become so heavy. She even felt that this heartbreak is going to be the end of her.

Soon, she reached their marital home but it suddenly felt weird, like she didn't belong.

Just then, a text also dropped on her phone. It was from Rowley so she opened it quickly. Maybe he'll come back to his senses and tore the divorce papers.

It was not what she expected when she opened it. It read: I've asked the servants at home to begin packing your things. I want you to leave today and I do not want to see you when I get home.

Her knees melted and she sank down, groaning loud in agony. A lot of tears formed in her eyes. She managed to wipe them with her hanky and moved into the house. All the servants stared at her in pity.

She was a very good person, also treating them right and they wouldn't wish for such to happen to her. They had been informed already by their boss.

She went up to the room quickly to release the tears there, where no one would see her. Few minutes later, there was a knock on the door. “Who is there?” She managed to ask with her breaking voice. “It's your ex-stepmom, Alice.”

Hearing this, she froze.

“What's she doing here?” She whispered to herself, rushing towards the door with fear and anger. “Has she been following me?”

She unlocked the door, shooting silent, dagger stares at Alice but there was no sign of remorse on her face.

“I came to check if you had begun packing.” Her words followed up with a big spank from Ivana across her face, the anger in her heart was far more than she should consider who Alice is.

“Aren't you ashamed of yourself, being in an affair with a man you would almost give birth to?”

“With just ten years?” Alice chuckled, her tone annoyed Ivana the more. She pretended as though nothing happened. “Well, you shouldn't be wasting your precious time fighting me here, nothing will change!” She threw the words right directly over her face.

“If you can't pack out yourself, I'll call the police to help you and with that, you will enjoy a free ride to their station, your next destination.” With this, she swiftly turned, heading out.

Ivana’s best maid, one she had befriended who had been hiding in the corner rushed forth to comfort her. Her eyes were soaked with tears.

Upon entering, Alice gave her a tight hug.

“I'm sorry ma'am. I heard about it. I just wished I had the power to change fate!” Alice told her. “Our boss is a monster!”

Ivana sobbed.

“I went to surprise him–” she sniffed. “To tell him I was pregnant for him after three years, but he divorced me right there. I loved him so much, as a wife would and did everything to prove that love, but he never saw it.” She cried to Alice.

“What's worse is that the media will be so disappointed in me. They'll call me a failure because now that we aren't married again, they used to see me in the perfect eyes. Now I'm doomed.” She added.

“Come on. Why don't you focus on yourself and build back on, rather than thinking about what the media will say? They don't know what you've been facing.” Alice nudged her back.

“But hold on a minute. Did you say you are pregnant?” Alice asked her again, eyes glowing with excitement.

“Yes, I am. With twins.” Ivana blushed.

Alice widened her eyes in shock as she couldn't believe it. “Have you told this to him yet?” She asked again.

“No, I haven't.” Ivana replied.

“I don't think you should. He doesn't deserve to be a father to them after doing such to you.” Alice said, further driving Ivana's emotions apart.

At about that time, the servants came knocking. “We are sorry ma'am, but your husband, sorry, ex-husband called again to make sure we start packing your things out. He said he will be on his way soon and we should make sure you and your properties are not around when he comes back.” The servant explained.

He tried to be as respectful as possible, but he also had to make sure she got the picture of what was actually going on.

“Don't worry, I'll pack myself. I'll be out of here in the next few minutes.” Ivana responded.

The servant took a bow, then left. “How about I help you?” Alice offered to lend a hand. “That would be nice.” Ivana accepted.

With that, they both parked. There wasn't much to pack because Ivana only carried her things, the ones she bought for herself and nothing else. All the expensive clothes, shoes and jewelry he gave to her were left behind.

Ivana thanked Alice for helping her and left for a hotel, where she would be staying for a while.

She was unreachable to the rest of the world. She didn't answer calls from her manager, producers and even directors. All she did was stay indoors and cry in the hotel. The news was everywhere on the internet. She couldn't even scroll over two to three posts without her name and the divorce being mentioned. She wondered who spread it but anyone could. While some heavily criticized her, others sympathized with her.

At a point, it became overwhelming and she had to take a break from social media for her mental health.

Days passed, almost a week without the internet. She started becoming bored so she decided to scroll through the net.

She opened social media to see what was going on and if the news had died down. Luckily for her, it did. Less people were talking about it now and it was good.

However, as she scrolled down, she saw a post from Alice, a wedding. Her blood ran cold.

Ivana was confused. She clicked on the video, checking in seeing the groom’s face, adrenaline was roaming so high in her. All her interest was to check out the man she was getting married to.

He backed the camera for the most part, but when he finally turned, Ivana was shocked to see that it was her ex-husband, Rowley.

This wasn't a movie, it wasn't a fluke. It was her ex-stepmom and bestie, getting married to her ex-husband!

Third POVIvana was shocked. She had to watch it again, over and over to be sure that it was what she was seeing. She looked at the date and it was exactly two days ago. She couldn't believe this, so she went to pay her sister a visit. “If they truly are married, that means they'll be staying together at the mansion.” She went there quickly. The hotel was pretty far from the mansion. While the mansion was in the center of Los Angeles, in Hollywood, the hotel was at the outskirts. She still made her way there as quickly as possible. She couldn't just believe that everything had been planned before the divorce and she didn't even have a clue. On getting there, however, she was told that indeed, the marriage happened, but the couples were already out of the city to celebrate their honeymoon. Ivana was still in disbelief. She couldn't believe this was happening. In order to completely clear her doubt, she took her phone out and dialed Alice’s number. She didn't answer, so she kept ca

Third POVIvana couldn't believe what she just heard. Did her husband just say this to her? “I warned you to stay away from my presence. I'm so ashamed to have people call you my wife. I hate that you make me feel like I married a man because I think I did.” His face turned stone cold and stared at her with terror. “You thought you could manipulate me into smiling at you by giving me a piece of paper?” “That paper has something important! That was…” She tried to defend, but he cut her short. “I'm tired of you, your voice, everything about you sickens me. Just go please.” He barked at her. Her heart fell upon hearing these words of his. He always lashes out at her like that, but that was the peak of it. His words were more harsh and piercing this time. She couldn’t help with the tears that rolled down her cheeks. “Is this how you really feel about me? You know how much I've wanted to have a baby for you, we tried everything.” She said to him. It was so painful that she had to en

Third POV“Doctor, what is wrong with me?” Ivana asked the doctor as the doctor approached her with the test result in hand. Ivana was pretty tense. She passed out on set during a film shoot and she couldn't help but be scared of what could possibly be the reason. As an A list actress, she was always on the spotlight and flawless, so this came as a shock to everyone around. “Mrs. Derrick, there's nothing to worry about. You’re not sick.” The doctor assured her. “Then why did I pass out on set? That has never happened to me before.” She argued. “Well, you're pregnant with twins.” The doctor finally revealed, handing her the test result.Ivana's dampened demeanor brightened at once. “What?” She yelled out. “I'm what?” Then the tears came. She sniffled, trying to hold back tears of joy as she stared at the test result on the medical result sheet. A tear dropped on the paper which she gently dipped in her finger. “Is this for real?” She asked. “This can't be a prank.” “Well, if it w
