NORA’S POV

Wood cracked violently against solid muscle.

Pain exploded across my ribs, completely stealing the breath from my lungs. Stumbling backward, my boots slipped in the freezing mud. I hit the ground hard, tasting copper and wet dirt. Above me, the gray morning sky promised more freezing rain.

"Stay down, human," Garrick warned.

Standing over me, the massive Beta enforcer rested his heavy wooden training staff on his shoulder. He didn't even look out of breath. A dozen other pack warrior

THIRD PERSON’s POV Vibrations rattled the burner phone against the smooth oak table.Everyone in the war room completely froze. Kai stared at the black plastic device. Halil gripped the edge of the communications console. Standing near the blazing fireplace, Nora stopped breathing entirely.Kai snatched the phone and hit the speaker button. "I want to hear him.""You don't get to make demands, Alpha," the distorted, mechanical voice crackled through the speaker. "Listen very closely. We have a new proposition.""A proposition?" Kai sneered. "Name your price.""We don't want your treasury," the voice replied smoothly. "We want the Queen. We are offering a straight trade. Nora for the boy."Total silence filled the massive room.Kai’s jaw locked. "What did you just say?""Bring her to the designated drop point. She walks to us, the boy walks to you. If she refuses, we execute him. If you try to ambush the exchange, we execute him.""You are dead," Halil said softly. He stepped closer t

Third person’s POV "You are late, Thorne," Liam rasped, his voice sounding like crushed gravel.Pulling his hood back, the disgraced former Blackcrest captain wiped cold rain from his face. Thorne looked absolutely terrified. Dark circles bagged his eyes. His hands shook as he stepped away from the door and approached the hospital bed."Getting past the capital guards wasn't easy," Thorne muttered, keeping his voice low. "This hospital is crawling with High Council enforcers. If they catch me in here, we are both dead.""They aren't looking for you." Liam offered a stiff, arrogant smile that didn't reach his eyes. "They are looking for Nora's dirty secrets. Relax.""Relax?" Thorne snapped, gripping the metal bedrail. "Are you completely insane? Kai and Halil are tearing the entire northern valley apart right now! They are slaughtering rogues by the dozen looking for that kid!""Good," Liam wheezed, enjoying the mental image. "Let them waste their energy digging through the snow.""It

  • Divorced and mated to the Lycan Twins   GETTING TO LOVE HIM

THIRD PERSON’s POV He went out on a mission that night.Gripping the steering wheel, Halil navigated the treacherous, washed-out dirt road leading directly into Rust Valley. This pack was completely neutral. It sat right on the edge of the southern border, functioning as a filthy haven for smugglers, rogues, and black-market dealers. Nobody asked questions here. Nobody cared about royal titles.Parking the heavy vehicle behind a dilapidated tavern, Halil killed the engine.Stepping out into the freezing mud, he pulled the collar of his dark coat up to shield his face. Water dripped steadily from the rusted gutters. Walking past two massive, heavily scarred bouncers guarding the tavern's back door, he didn't even slow down. His lethal, predatory aura forced the men to step completely out of his path.Heading straight for a narrow alleyway behind the bar, Halil found a heavily reinforced steel door. It had absolutely no handle. A small camera with a red blinking light sat mounted high

NORAMinutes bled into hours.Sitting in the dim war room, the silence felt heavy enough to crush my lungs. The black cell phone sat dead in the center of the oak table, mocking us.Pacing near the fireplace, Kai ran his hands through his messy hair. He looked completely unhinged. Halil stood over the communications console, whispering rapidly to a young tech specialist tapping frantically on a glowing laptop."Did you get the bounce?" Halil demanded, pointing at the screen."I am trying, Beta," the tech swallowed hard, sweat beading on his forehead. "They used a heavy digital scrambler. But when they sent the photo file, it pinged off a local cellular tower before bouncing to a satellite."Stopping in my tracks, my heart hammered wildly. "You have a location?""We have a rough grid," the tech confirmed, pulling up a digital map. A red circle blinked to life near the southern edge of the neutral zone. "It’s an old industrial refinery. Completely abandoned for ten years."Kai was alrea

NORASunlight finally broke through the gray clouds, reflecting harshly off the fresh snow.Staring out the shattered nursery window, the morning offered absolutely no comfort. The blizzard had finally died. The wind stopped howling, leaving a suffocating, dead silence over the Blackcrest courtyard.Rubbing my freezing arms, I didn't turn around when the heavy door opened."Any word?" I asked quietly, my voice raspy from crying hours ago."Nothing yet," Kai answered. His boots scuffed softly against the rug. Stepping up behind me, he wrapped a thick wool blanket over my shoulders. He didn't sleep. His golden eyes were completely bloodshot, and his jaw was covered in dark stubble."Gideon is pulling the search teams back to the staging area," Kai continued, keeping his voice low so he wouldn't wake Hayes. "They need to rotate. The men are getting frostbite.""They can't stop looking, Kai.""They aren't stopping," turning me around gently to face him. "We are sending fresh patrols out.

  • Divorced and mated to the Lycan Twins   LESS CARE

NORAGravel crunched loudly under the heavy tires as our convoy rolled into the Blackcrest courtyard. The rain had turned to a freezing, miserable mist, coating the stone walls in a thin layer of slick ice. Sitting in the back seat, the tension from the capital still sat heavily in my chest. Surviving the High Council tribunal was exhausting. But looking out the tinted window, a strange, suffocating silence hung over the estate.Usually, guards patrolled the perimeter with a steady, military rhythm. Today, the courtyard felt entirely too still."Where the fuck is the gate detail?" Kai demanded, throwing the SUV into park before it even fully stopped.Halil scanned the upper battlements, his dark eyes narrowing. "Something is wrong. The watchtowers are completely empty.""Gideon!" Kai barked, kicking his car door open and stepping out into the freezing mist. "Why is the front gate completely unstaffed?"General Gideon jogged over from the trailing vehicle. He looked just as confused. "

NORA’S POV. I groaned, struggling to pry my eyes open. “Our Luna decided to grace us with her consciousness.” A stern voice cut across the room. NORA’S POV “Don’t worry, there’ll be no need for that anyway.” I pulled away, as the maid tried to cover the scar on my face with makeup. NORA’S POV My heart stomped against my chest as I made my way to the lavish waiting area that led to Alpha Aiden’s office. I grabbed my clutch in one hand, my other hand trembled lightly.
