Adonis's face gave her a scare, and she knew she shouldn't have wandered around.

"Delaney, you shouldn't have..." He snatched the photo from her and shoved it back into the shelve. He grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her over to the bed. "Just sit here. Don't go wandering around," his voice was icy, and His eyes possessed a chilling iciness that sent a shiver through her.

"Adonis... I am sorry..." She tried saying, but he cut her off immediately.

"Stop being sorry and admit you'd do the right thing!" His voice was stern. Anger was evident in his voice.

Delaney trembled, causing her to jolt in fear. Her eyes brimmed with tears as she stared at him unbelievably. She covered her mouth with her palm, suppressing a gasp.

At that point, realization dawned on him. He didn't mean to yell at her. "Delaney, I'm sorry..."

"No, it's fine." She stood up, avoiding eye contact with him. "I have to go," she walked quickly to the door before he said another word.
