Adonis's brilliant white limo drove into the large expanse of his compound and slowly came to a halt. The day was still bright, as it was the early hours of the evening.

It was quite a quiet drive as Delaney sat unmoving beside him, looking absentmindedly at the busy roads until they took the left turn leading to the lonely road to his house.

He had gone to pick her up at her place of work that evening. It had been awkwardly quiet.

Adonis didn't bother her with talks and questions. He just wanted them to get home before talking. He respected her quietness and never bothered her.

"Let's go," he said to her lovingly before stepping out of the limo when his driver pulled the door open for him.

Delaney took cautious steps as she walked into the bedroom. She didn't want to do anything that'll get him mad at her like the other day.

"Please, feel free, Dela," Adonis said when he noticed her uneasiness.

"The last time I tried, I got scolded." She responded with a small smile.

Her words struck
