Lawrence's POV:

The solitude that enveloped my heart as Luke departed left me ample space to ponder his words. I was certain he hadn't been jesting; every syllable he spoke carried the weight of his conviction.

“But why call me a brother when his actions are consistently at odds with me?” I mused aloud, lost in my contemplation.

As the weight of his words settled over me, I realised urgency was paramount. The stakes of this conflict—our survival and the future of generations to come—were too high to be compromised by the decisions of a single man. I would do everything in my power to ensure that this war did not falter due to one person's choices.

Although I had other plans for the day, visiting my army at the camp had to be added to my agenda. The journey to the camp was tranquil yet filled with troubled thoughts.
