"Give me the key." I held my hand to Ethan, who had pulled out the key and was now holding it.

He looked at me quizzically, paused, and looked at me for a long moment. "Are you sure you don't want me to call you someone to drive?"

I shook my head. "No need. I didn't offer to drive you to make you bother about what I'm going home with. You make the arrangements when we leave, so let me make the arrangements when we return."

I played with my eyebrows to make him believe me. The man with the thick lips didn't smile at me at all. He was holding the key, and it looked like he was hesitating. "I think I can ask someone to drive you to the office, and I'll pick you up later."

My mouth chuckled softly, and then my hand snatched the key in his hand. "Don't exaggerate, I've been driving well for a long time."
