Forty three: Quarrel

A thick pain brushed at the back of my head as I laid on my bed. It felt as if a laden was thrown on my body. I was almost glued to the bed. Gradually, I began to sit up, using my fingers to press the keen pain that teased from my head to my neck region. 

"Claire?" I mumbled, shutting my eyes, still half asleep. "Are you there?"

Noticing I didn't get a response, I slowly opened my eyes. Scrolling my eyes through the place, I observed she wasn't in here. 

"Oh, shit!" I cursed underneath my breath, the pain aggravating. 

Groaning a little, I grabbed my phone from the side table, dialed Claire's number. I could step out of the room to get a Tylenol myself, but I was too tired for that. 

The moment I clicked the call button, the door opened up. Good for me, it was her.

She walked in, holding a tray
