Forty four: Him

It was four o'clock in the evening. A lot of students were in the hallway, probably planning to be on their way home. I walked with Tessa, holding a bunch of textbooks in my arm. 

"Have you heard anything from your project mate?" She asked. 

I shook my head. "I'm not sure, but I think he's sick."

"Is he aware that the project has been extended?"

Taking a turn to the next hallway, I sighed. "No. I guess he'll know about that when he resumes."

"He better resumes soon." She smiled warmly. "You guys need to start working really harder. It seems like you haven't been able to properly work on your project for a couple of days. Maybe you should visit him or something. If he's sick, you can both try to work at his place, right?"

I let out a shaky chuckle. "Sure. I haven't thought of that before. Maybe that's what I'll do."
