“What do you mean, Lian?” Alexa had been pacing our living room back and forth for about twenty minutes now.
Ace agreed with my plan before we came back to my place. Our baby’s safety comes first and the more people who know about my pregnancy, the more danger there is for us.
“It is what it is, Alex,” I said calmly.
Alexa glared at me, seeing a glimpse of the heartless assassin that she is sending shivers all over my body. I’ve seen her like this once, when she was in Ace’s captivity. Just a look from her would have anyone cowering away.
