Chapter 5 Deal

Angelica 

I tightly covered my mouth and hid by the corner, she walked passed and looked around but when she didn't see me she went back upstairs. Minutes later I came out from my hideout, I'd already lost my appetite so I proceeded to go upstairs back to my room. I tried so hard not to think about what I heard tonight, cause it's none of my business so I forced myself to close my eyes and went back to sleep. 

I woke up late the next morning because I did not want to meet the two annoying couples, so I made sure they had left the house by the time I woke up, it's almost noon at this time, so I left my room. My stomach was grumbling so hard, I was crazily hungry and craving some instant noodles. I do not have the energy to make normal meals, so I just wanted something quick and easy to fix.

I got to the living room and as soon as my eyes sighted the couch the event of yesterday flashed before my eyes, I quickly turned away immediately and shake my head

“Don't think about it” 

“Don't let it get to you” I muttered those words to myself trying hard to forget the heartbreaking words he said to me yesterday, I took a deep breath, I closed my eyes and after some seconds I opened it, telling myself I'm stronger than this, I made my way straight to the kitchen.

I yawned hungrily as I opened the kitchen door, but as soon as I saw Alexandre leaning on the kitchen counter with a coffee mug I froze on my step, heck! I wanted to turn around and run back upstairs but something crossed my mind. Why should I be the one running, where did the sassy and crazy Angelica go? I can't let him think he has the power just because of a one night mistake, we did it together anyways.

I gently stepped back and this time I pushed the kitchen door louder which got his attention and he turned, I glared at him from head to toe and cleared my throat.

“One minute man who can't even pleasure a woman” I laughed sarcastically, his eyes widened in shock as he dropped the coffee mug, but I ignored him and went on to bring out the things I would use in making my noodles,

“Did…did….did you just say that to me?” 

I made a mocking face as I stared at him, 

“No, but if the shoes fits you perfectly then wear it” I shrugged, 

“Don't blame me, you asked for this and I promise to make you hear my girlfriend's moan tonight so get ready” He bragged

“Girlfriend? Oh please don't flatter yourself, you know I think you're actually smart but seeing how you're being played I might just sit back and enjoy the fun” I smiled 

“What do you mean by that?” 

His face turned serious immediately, as he began to take slow and predatory steps towards me, he got to me and stood right before me, 

“What were you saying?” He gritted

“Are you trying to scare me, bad acting try something else” 

I stepped away from him and brought out the pot I was going to use and cook but he angrily grabbed it and placed it by the side, pinning me again the counter, with his body pressing against mine, 

“I'm going to ask you this one last time, what did you say about my girlfriend?” 

His eyes was bloodshot, his veins popping out, and he looked like he could kill for her, why did he love her so much, we stared into each others eyes, I know I had to say this

“She’s fooling you” 

“Where's your evidence?”

I rolled my eyes at him cause I knew he was going to ask that

“I overheard her talking to someone on the phone last night, I don't know who but you can do your findings”

“Are you fucking lying to me right now, are you desperate for me to break up with my girlfriend and be with you?” 

“Really, is that what you think of me right now? You're unbelievable and for the records, you're not my type” 

I tried to walk away but he suddenly grabbed my hand stopping me, 

“If I ever find out that you're lying against my girlfriend, I promise I'm not going to take it easy with you” 

I looked at his hand and gently pulled away

“And if you ever find out that I'm telling the truth, what will happen?” I asked, my two hands folded with my gaze resting at him.

He shrugged 

“I know it's impossible” He muttered confidently

“If you ever find out I'm telling the truth, what will happen?” This time my voice was louder and clearer

He stared at me for a second 

“It depends on what you want’’ He shrugged 

“What I want is simple, that's if you can do it” 

He went silent for a moment 

“Say it”

“If you ever find out I'm telling the truth and your girlfriend is cheating on you then you’ll have to become my doting husband till this contract is over”

I saw the twitch in his eyes, the mixed expression. He's going to say no, I just knew he will, 

“Deal”
