Lavina–POV

Dressed in my red dress accentuating my hourglass curves, I gently touched my belly, aware that my baby bump would soon be visible. I checked my makeup in the mirror, applying red lipstick and arranging my wavy hair into a bun. Slipping into black heels, I was ready for the evening. Just then, a knock on the door came precisely at eight. I admired Leo's punctuality as I made my way to answer it, but Grandpa got there first. Leo entered with a bouquet of red roses in hand.

"You're quite the gentleman, Leo," Grandpa said, offering him a warm smile. Leo returned the gesture.

"I try my best to keep that smile on her face," Leo replied. His words made me realize I was smiling, too. Was it a crush I had on Leo, or was I subconsciously diverting my feelings for Archer to him? I didn't want to delve into those thoughts now, especially not in Leo's presence. After all, he was the father of my child, and he deserved a chance to get to know me—as I did him.
