Chapter 37

Benson reached Melbourne right about the time he expected he would. He went straight to the hotel that he had booked beforehand to take a shower and relax a little.

After having a refreshing bath, he sat by the window taking in the view of the city. He phoned Alita to check up on her and Julie.

“Hey, Alita,” he smiled.

“Good morning, sir…” Alita said sounding nervous.

“How are you and my little angel?” Benson rose from the chair he sat and walked closer to the side of the wall where it was all glass. He had chosen that room, particularly for the view and also because he was at the edge of the building where he was sure fewer people hung around.

“Yes, we are okay,” Alita said. “Julie is asleep,” she added.

“Right,” He nodded and pocketed his hand. “I miss you guys already,” he bit his lips as he glanced downward. He could see the roofs of other buildings around the hotel.
