Pulling the blanket tighter around my shivering body I tried to conserve as much of my own body heat within the fabric as possible. There was no way of telling time down here, with no windows I had no idea when it was day or night, so I hadn’t a clue how long I’d been in this freezing and desolate dungeon; and that was not an exaggeration, it was a dungeon.

The ground was concrete, with floor to ceiling bars going into the rock ceiling and walls. Though unlike normal bars which would be darker and made of perhaps iron or steel, these bars appeared to be polished to perfection and silver in color.
