**Trigger Warning: Pediatric Death**
“Charge again.”
“But Doctor…” The anxious nurse stuttered. “She’s been down too long.”
“I said charge again!”
“She’s gone Cross!” Dr. Grimm stated as she grabbed my forearm.
Before me laid our ninth pediatric trial patient, a little girl of just eight years old. Alice. She was a ray of sunshine on a very dark floor of the hospital, always smiling and taking ever treatment with a smile. And I had killed her.

Waking up to the sunset coming over the horizon and a cup of hot, fresh coffee in my hand was an amazing feeling. I sat at the edge of the cliff overlooking the valley below and just breathed in the fresh air. The fog dancing and playing through the trees below made the world look almost like a fantasy realm.
