CHAPTER EIGHT

"I never thought I'd hear from you so soon" Chloe said as she adjusted herself in the black Mercedes.

"Who are you?" Barbara Channing asked, yes the Barbara Channing, of course she wants to know who Chloe is. after alot of investigation she couldn't find a single detail on this mysterious girl.

"I'm just a normal girl living in a normal world, who was privileged to attend an elite school. is there a problem with that...ma'am?"

"I may not have been able to find any information on you but I won't give up, just stay away from my son. He is way too good for someone like you."

"With all due respect Mrs Channing, you have absolutely no right to tell me who I can and cannot be with. I really like you son so telling me to back off isn't going to be possible. Another thing, when you say your son is way to good for someone like me I hope that was a joke cause you will end up eating your words. William is a great guy but you have no idea what I am capable of. I would really appreciate it if you accept the fact that William and I are not splitting up."

"You are really brave young lady, no one as ever spoken to me that way and get away with it. You just wait and see, my son will never end up with the likes of you, someone who doesn't respect his mother."

"I had a lot of respect for you but the fact that you came to tell me to back off means you have no integrity. you are trying to control what your son does and trust me when u say this you will live to regret it."

"GET OUT OF MY CAR NOW!!!. I will make you pay for what you just said to me. remember this day Chloe"

"likewise Mrs Channing. it was a pleasure talking to you" Chloe exited the car and made a sigh of relief. she knew what she was getting into but no one threatens Chloe.

It was the beginning of a new school session. Bright smiles and all those another excitement that follows the first day of school. of course by now Chloe had forgotten about the drama that ended the last session and she had finally let go of her petty anger and had reconciled with her friends. Sandra really was a great guardian and the only person Chloe listens to, well aside from William.

"Hey Chloe, first day of school uhn, are you excited?" Camilla asked with that huge smile that always seems to be on her face.

"I sure am. where are the twins?" 

"I called them a few minutes back and they are already on their way"

" Those two really like being late"

Just as the girls were chatting they heared loud screams and everyone one was gather at the entrance. He was here. The all time famous William Channing was in the building and Chloe's face was lit up. Though she couldn't run to hug him because they had to keep their relationship on the down low, she was happy to see that William had taken up on her offer and decided to attend EMPIRE academy. William walked towards Chloe and pretend to ask for directions but he just wanted to see his babe. After getting what he wanted William proceeded to the principal's office. With all the attention William seems to be getting is he going to be able to concentrate on his studies?

"Aren't you and William in a relationship?" Cami and her curiosity. she had to know

"We are but we can't let the whole world know that. I'm just glad that I get  to see him every day." Well kinda everyday, William was a grade higher than Chloe and their class schedule was very different but Chloe knew she could make it work, somehow.

The only time Chloe gets to see William was during lunch and also gym. William was athletic, he could swim like a shark so he decided to join the school's swim team.

later in the day during lunch Chloe was sitting alone the William came and sat beside her.

"What are you doing babe? People are going to talk" Chloe look at him curiously.

"Talk about what exactly? to them I just sat down for lunch and made a new friend. stop panicking"

"You are right, there's nothing for me to be worried about"

"Exactly. I joined the school's swim team"

" I didn't know you could swim"

"Baby there are alot if things you don't know about me"

"I will find them out soon. So what do you think about the school so far?"

"It's great and all but I don't get to see you, that's why I came here in the first place"

"William you are a senior,your schedules are different from mine. Tell you what, I promise to attend your every swim meet and also practice. Will that make you feel better?"

"I'd really like that."

"lunch is almost over, I have to go. See you after school?"

"Will you be coming to the penthouse?"

"Not today, I have some things to attend to."

"Alright see you after school then"

Chloe stood up left and immediately, Williams table was swamped with girls. Chloe isn't going to like this at all.

"Are you really ok with all these thirsty girls all over your man?" Cami asked Chloe

"Of course not but there's nothing I can do about it, if I speak up now all attention will be on me and I do not want that kind of attention" 

"Alright then if you say so"

The school day was over and the school was empty, well almost William and Chloe stayed behind. They just needed to catch up on their day's activities. Chloe then recalled the entire incident with his mother to him.

"Don't take what my mom says to heart. She is just really over protective"

"I get that but that is not enough reason for her to threaten me. I just want to be with someone I like and I do not think that should be a problem, right?"

"I will talk to my mother to lay off you. sorry for the inconvenience"

"It's fine. I would love to stay and chat with you but I really have to go to the hospital. if I round up quickly I will drop by the penthouse"

"Alright babe".

Chloe had been involved with the hospital alot ever since her punishment. She then realized that she wanted to be a surgeon. A neurosurgeon. The thought of going into surgery and coming out successfully made her so happy and Sandra supported her dream. Chloe was also supposed to take a business course along side. That seems to be a lot of pressure for an adult talk less of a teenager. Everybody knows that with Chloe's IQ she could possibly do it especially if she set her mind to it.

Chloe spent the remaining half of the day in the hospital and was unable to make it to Williams'. nevertheless she called him and explained everything to him.

When Chloe got home she was so tired but she needed to check on the couple she took in. For a sixteen years old Chloe had a lot of responsibilities. 

"Hey Mom, Hey dad" she decided to call them mom and dad to make it easier to identify them.

"How was school today?"the woman asked

"Eventful, I even had to go to the hospital afterwards, I just need to crash right now."

"Then you should have done that. You don't have to check up on us everytime" the man added

"I know I don't but I really enjoy seeing you guys, seeing you two just makes my whole day stress vanish"

"Go to bed now Chloe, we will talk tomorrow." the woman Insisted

"Good night"

Chloe left their room. for some reason the house seems really familiar to them but they couldn't quite remember. luckily for the couple they only had a minor damage which was later found and fixed and the only side effects was the partial loss of memory which will be regained in a few months.

The following day at school while Theo,leo, Cami and Chloe were all sitting together when another uproar emerged and that diverted the attention of the four of them.

"What is she doing here?" Chloe said as she saw the face of the person who was causing a commotion. she wanted to leave but she was suddenly held back by the girl whom she so desperately wanted to avoid.

"Don't you remember me? Chloe"

A smirk appeared on the girls face as Chloe suddenly turned around. of course she remembered her.
