"It was you, Margaux." His lips twitched as anger overflowed his eyes.

"The witch who cursed me three hundred years ago was you."

April stilled, gobsmacked by what he had just said. 'She? She was a witch? She cursed him three hundred years ago?' She snickered as she found it hard to believe. Was this demon messing with her? Did he actually expect her to believe him? She had not even dealt with him being a demon and now what? She was a witch?

"You don't believe me?"

"Who would believe the gibberish you just said?"

Another long pause of silence followed, his gaze stayed glued on April that she felt like the demon was slowly seeing through her deepest soul, as though the gods bestowed on him the power to examine every human's deepest secrets.
